Seem to have fuel in racor spin on filter and i just filled it up last weekend.
Orange wire..I'll check.
Good thing is that i am in front of a diesel shop, so they will probably help if needed.
Uggggg
My truck was running fine and hour ago. I took her about 20 miles from the house, stopped and went inside to talk, came back 30 minutes later and now she will not start.
I borrowed a power supply to jumpstart it, but that has not helped, yet.
Anything else I should be looking at?
Upgraded the headlight harness tonight. I used a heavy duty, high temp headlamp socket and Sylvania SiverStar H6054 lights. It's amazing how much of a difference they make. I can see now. :)
WantOne: are you flying up and then driving back down? Would you be going through the OKC area, by any chance?
if driving up, could I impose on you to drop a part off with Warthog up there? :)
My newly installed belts were squealing, so i put a stop to that, the old fashioned way. I re-tightened the belts. ;)
I put a second layer of fiberglass on my roof this afternoon. The Sheriff's Dept had lights installed that were bolted into the ceiling. When they took the lights off, they left...
Well...I thought I'd be brave and take mine for a car wash through one of those automated wash places. She did pretty good, except I know now that I am going to replace all rubber, as is preached here on the forum... :)
One area that I'm concerned about is that while driving it through the...

Replaced radiator hoses and fluid
Replaced belts
Replaced borrowed starter and cable with rebuilt starter that i had burnt up.
Lube job on bearings and bushings
Washed for first time in 10 years
Fixed stuck seat belt by cleaning and lubricating it.
Replaced windshield wiper...
Not electrical related, but I did find out why she was riding so rough. The rear passenger shock was completely gone. Well, the shock was there, but the top post had disintegrated from the top connection, leaving it hanging.
For some reason, that will make a truck ride a little rough. ;)
Yes, I will disconnect the batteries. I do not want to have any more issues.
Another question, I am here at the auto salvage looking for a rear bench seat. Do you know if a bench seat from a single cab Silverado of that year range would work for a rear bench?
Figured out my issue.
In the day light, where i could actually see, I learned that the Service switch actually has to be pulled out and the flipped up. You can't just try and flip it up without pulling it out.
I couldnt see that in the dark last night.
That being said, I took her on a 30...
I would suggest mailing it down here to Texas. I have a local guy who could rebuild that starter in one day that we could ship it back to you.
Might be a bit expensive on the shipping, however.
I hope you can get something figured out locally. :)
Okay, I screwed something up tonight.
I picked up the truck late from the tire place and it was dark by the time I got home and I had the lights on. I decided to flip over to the black lights when I got to my neighborhood and my main lights went off.
Well, I could never get my main lights to...
