    Choice of Rides

Great line-up there! Could you choose one as your favorite to drive? If you could choose one as your "very own", which would it be??

    How can I add a 12 v Alternator?

I'm not sure of the "right" way to do any of this, but heres my 2cents! I ran a Positive wire to a switched fuse block, off of one battery (12V) to run various 12 volt lights, occasional radio, etc, and have not had the first problem with batteries yet. I believe the largest item I do run...

    Installing a "conventional" gas-burner into a 6X6?

Hey all!! Had a question, pondering a thought someone mentioned once! Has anyone known of a "conventional" gas motor and tranny (ie. Chevy 454, Ford 460 etc....) being installed into a duece or 5-ton, and do you know of the performance obtained from a swap, negative or positive?? Just...

    m1008 cab roll cage

Your 100% correct. Most inexperienced people install the cage to the thin sheet-metal floor pans that will only "giveway" in a roll-over when the cage is most needed!! Take the time to do it right, and you'll walk away in the event of a roll!!

I had an interesting night last night in my 5 ton.

RE: tow strap vs chain It is a very common practice in towing large trucks to use chain to "chain-up" an axle.....it's just got to be large enough chain for the weight and the suspension flex. I think that you did WONDERFULLY great seeing what you had to work with!! I blew a light one time...

    bridge plate numbers

Minimal Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) for a cucv

RE: Put 1050 CA 875 CCA in mine but took some mods Also guys. always remember that the colder it is, the less "actual" CCA's you will have at the starter. I believe the CCA is rated at 72 degrees (which is a beautiful day!), but the colder the day is from there when you start the truck, the...

    Rear Tandem Spacing

The housing is "specific" to the bridge truck also as the axles themselves ARE longer than the 5-tons. I was told that the bridge truck assembly is 4" longer overall than the 5-ton. I have pulled a set of my duals and loaned to a friend, and installed correctly with the spacers positioned...

    MV pics

Man!! I can spend all day just looking around your place at the cool trucks!! [thumbzup]

    bridge truck gear ratio

Yep, mine does too. I've only found the 10-tons to have the 10.26 ratio.

    MV pics

Thanks for the pics....or the trucks all multi-fuels??

    14.00X20 tires

If your axles are on 56" centers, then 14:00's will work great. The bridge trucks have the same 56" spread, and come rolling on 14:00's.

    Photos of H2O Truck

Great looking truck!! Looks great also w/ the rear singled out!!

    14.00X20 tires

I'd personally put bthe 1400's.....anything over that size and you'll have clearence issues, and take away from overall power. It really depends if your motor has been turned up for the increased heighth of the tire, and how much clearence u do have.
