I wonder what the durability factor is on these?? I was in Beirut for a short period of time, and I remember seeing three outside in the elements, for what appeared to be a LONG time!

RE: Re: Differences between military and civilian 6.2L engin Yeah, a friend who works at Camp Shelby told me the internals ie. crank, rods, etc, are all the same on the two motors. You should be able to pick up a good at your local auto parts store, just make sure it's not ridiculously turned...

For $350,000, a civilian could buy the biggest, baddest rotator built!!!! Man, the govt. sure spends that money!!

RE: Update on noise? Hey, does your's also have the 14:00/20's on it, and what is your top speed?? Mine will run 57 mph on a flat surface, checked with a GPS, hauling about 2 tons on the bed. Just curious. :driver:

I've used "less conventiinal methods" such as wire wheel and drill motor before, and the project turned out great. Just don't get impatient, and take the time to stop, back up and look at the area your working on, and keep it looking consistent and great, then paint will go on wonderfully...

Do you have the lights on while trying?? For some reason, maybe it's supposed to, but mine will not do anything unless my switch is on "Service Drive", then everything will work. Hope this helped.

I will list a pic if I can get it up.... The 480 is great for the dual winches and dual booms that split....i've never not pulled out anything I didn't go to get, and if I can't get to a vehicle with the 480, I use the 5-ton with the winch!!

Its not that everyone is not interested in the trucks, it's probably the location factor, thats the reason I don't try to buy both trucks. Would love to have them, but i'm in South Alabama!!
