    Lockers or no Lockers?

RE: Re: ID Lockers In that case, mine was probably added at some point. I'm glad to have them though! If you really don't use your truck off-road enough to warrant having them, I wouldn't add them just to have them, but if you plan on going off-road frequently, then they most certainly help...

Deuce on Ebay. What a deal!!!!!!!!!!!

.....and it doesn't even have a winch!!! I wouldn't have bought my truck for $2500 if it hadn't had a winch!! It is clean, but he's also throwing in all his labor and time in the price.....no telling what it looked like when he started on it....But a duece for that price??? Better have A.C...

Differences between military and civilian 6.2L engines

RE: Re: Differences between military and civilian 6.2L engin Yeah, a friend who works at Camp Shelby told me the internals ie. crank, rods, etc, are all the same on the two motors. You should be able to pick up a good at your local auto parts store, just make sure it's not ridiculously turned...

    Dammit! Missed another deal!

I have learned from horse trading here and there, that when you see a deal, complete the transaction IMMEDIATELY!! If you wait, the next guy will come along, give em' a call, or they could decide not to sell it at all!! Good luck on hunting you one, keep it up, you'll find what you want!

RE: I have a I'd go for the multi-fuel at this point, unless you just want originality. I will keep an eye out, as I hear about a few cheap from time to time, and let you know any good deals....I assume that the multi would bolt up to the gasser 331 tranny?? Anyone know for sure, and I wonder...

    Lockers or no Lockers?

RE: ID Lockers Maybe in that case mine was added.....I can hook an object and in second gear, low range, on a dirt or sandy surface, it will spin all tires at the same speed, until i melt the tires, or drag the object! Same thing in muddy situations, its spinning all tires the same speed all...

    Lockers or no Lockers?

RE: ID Lockers Yes, the "Bridge Trucks" normally have lockers in them, mine is a 1960 M328, which is a M139 chassis, with a Bridge transporting body, making it a M328. Mine is also the gas version (R6602), and it has lockers in the diffs. I always have to pull large pieces of machinery &...

    Painting/Priming WITHOUT prior sandblasting???

I've used "less conventiinal methods" such as wire wheel and drill motor before, and the project turned out great. Just don't get impatient, and take the time to stop, back up and look at the area your working on, and keep it looking consistent and great, then paint will go on wonderfully...

    Sleeper cab on a deuce?

Djfreema, I saw a truck boneyard that had a 60" sleeper on a mack without the front clip and asked if they would sell the sleeper unit, and they said "Sure, we'll take $250 for it". I looked it over, and it was very nice, just needed a few odd and end pieces of interior. As I drove around, I...

    Sleeper cab on a deuce?

I will list a pic if I can get it up.... The 480 is great for the dual winches and dual booms that split....i've never not pulled out anything I didn't go to get, and if I can't get to a vehicle with the 480, I use the 5-ton with the winch!!

Its not that everyone is not interested in the trucks, it's probably the location factor, thats the reason I don't try to buy both trucks. Would love to have them, but i'm in South Alabama!!
