Hey, I got with my buddy and he said one of two things could be the problem..... Pull the rear valve cover, and make sure the drain-back holes are nice and open, without any old oil sludge build-up, to prevent drain back of oil, and 2) most likely he said it could be the wrong viscosity oil (He...
RE: Re: RE: Opinions needed on Off-road driving capabilities
Hey rizzo, I plan on putting super singled out Michelin XL 14's om my truck. That will give me the best of both worlds, and not break my piggy bank too bad!
Thats about what I was thinking. On sand and such, the duals do better for more "flotation" as the load is distributed to more surface area, and in this case more tires, but in mud singles would do better for less to go through the mud, hence less power needed, and less side-wall friction...
O.k. fellas of the higher "Intellectual" powers, got a technical opinionated question for you. All I do with my 5-Ton M-328 (thats the bridge truck) is go off-roading in the swamps around where I live. Out of two choices, what set-up do you believe to be best for off-roading, epecially in...
RE: Re: RE: Opinions on value of this bobbed duece
If I could pull $8500 out the bank, that would be my truck. Its just the right size for my wife to follow me around in....."Honey, thats a toyota you hit, ahhh!!!" :-)
Hey, I've got a gasser R6602 also. I have had this noise on cold startups, but it goes away with 5-8 seconds and doesn't continue. I will ask a good friend who is a Guardsman who works on these trucks and get his professional opinion. I'll holler back later on today. Steve
I was just wondering if anyone has ever installed and used the locking door handles for the exterior of the truck? Seem to work well and built tough?? Thank! Steve
I know the fuel lines on the gasser are just "Standard" thread from the tank all around...not sure on the diesel models. I replaced some airlines and tubing and found all the parts at NAPA, under "Airbrake Hardware" fittings.
RE: Insurance
I've got State Farm as a "Historical" vehicle, $198.00 a year, i'm 29 with a Lead Foot!! (I've hit 54 mph in the truck, downhill, loaded, look out!!!!)
RE: Most places
Everyone will get pushed around about parking here or parking there at some point or another. I had a neighbor complain to the city about how "Noisy" my 5-Ton was rolling by their home as I drove down the street.
The Mayor replied back to the complainer saying "You...
