Well I have been home for a few months and have my truck just about done (for now) and I got to say I'm a little sad that i haven't met up with anyone besides fuzzytoaster to buy stuff. Really wish there was more than one TX meet a year.
This week it is raining here in central TX like you wouldn't believe (like we are in Portland or something i swear). However with the few moments of dry-ish weather I took my new troop seats apart and began cleaning them and getting them ready for paint. I plan on keeping all the fiberglass...
From the FOX news link:
"Officers interviewed a witness on scene of the accident who indicated the driver of the white Chrysler 300 failed to stop at the red light for north and south bound traffic. The Kaiser was traveling east through the intersection when the Chrysler 300 was 'T-boned' on...
So I got the troop seats and all put together....
Now call me crazy but I think my stick ups shouldn't be this tall. I think these go to a Canadian MLVW, so anyone know of any MLVW cargo covers hanging around d for sale?
I had them flipped because they where set up for the dual NDT stock tires, flipped them so they would not be deep dish. With them flipped they are in line with the front and will not hurt the bearings. You can mount them deep dish but that puts alot of strain on the bearings to my understanding.
Now my bill was a little more at the shop but I had some other work done that popped up, Jason found some problems and promptly fixed them for a great price.
Yeah I dealt with two so far directly, one is Jason (great guy) and the other is Auction Plus aka military trucks.com, and I'll say this I will NEVER EVER work with military trucks.com again! More on that later tho, I'll save all my pix and reviews for when I finish getting my paperwork.
Thx Jason! Will do the 50mi inspection sir. Guys this man right here does some of the best work I've seen (he has even fixed some work that larger companies have done incorrect).
