Had that happen to me on an 8.3. Had to pull the head and beat it out from the otherside. That said there really isn't any reason I can see that the multifuel injs should get stuck like that. They are not a tapered fit. They have a copper(iirc) washer at the tip that seals it to the head ...
most stuff on these trucks is easy to get fittings for even online. The beauty of pushlok is you can build a little stock of common jic fittings and make hoses in seconds as you need them.
I realize people have reused the nuts with new or ground down collars etc but I am an anal curmudgeon and wanted the right fittings. They are used for gas pilot lines.
Here they are. I did mine today and they were the exact right fitting and the job came out nice. Don't forget inserts as well...

I'm not sure if this would work on an AMBAC but on the DB2s when the head and rotor get worn you can dump water on the IP to cool it off and see if it improves.
