I have a 4 inch lift. Leave the t case. you never really wanna "drop" the tcase. I have seen people re clock it but that is a PIA. ON a 6-8 inch lift if the front d shaft hits the crossmeber you can space the crossmember down and space the tranny mount back up to compensate.
Try craigslist. There is always 6.2's for sale cheap. a 6.2 is a 6.2. You can also use a 6.5 but you will need inj lines of a 93 6.5TD or a late model 6.2 with the short injs.
Card has a burn mark around the transistor. I did a GP override. I'd post pics but it was a sloppy job. I have some cleaning up to do but I need the truck tomorrow. Clicking is gone. Hopefully whatever was burning the other day was the board.
Mine is doing it after the truck has been running and on the highway. I know all the usual things and the GP's a new Duratherms. something is causing them to come on randomly. I am going to disconnect the card and do an override for now and see what happens.
You never know how long a CUCV was idled and idling kills the nozzles so mileage could be irrelevant. They squirts should be changed at 100k under normal usage as proper PM. Of course many run them much longer but a bad or dribbling squirt can ruin a piston.
OK the clicking sound is the glow plug relay. Why is it doing that when the truck is hot and has been running ? It seems as if the glow plugs come on as they please and when I put a heavy draw on the electrical system like the plow pump it makes the glowplug relay start clicking ? Should I take...
For a 4 inch lift a drop pitman arm has always worked best for me. 4 inches is not enough unless you plan to cut the fender, the tires will hit on turns. 6 inch is the way to go. All the lift kits are made in china so you are paying for name only unless you find a used older Rancho kit like what...
I also did the mod. In fact I had read about it and then my stock relay failed somewhere and I didn't have internet access but it was easy to figure out how to wire it. It works fine and is a must do.
Thanks guys. Have not been online as we have been without power/phone/communication since last Sat. I bought an Iphone. I drove the truck to work yesterday morning and something started burning and I could not tell what but yeah putting the heater lower helps and when it's clicking the voltmeter...
When I am using alot of accesories particularly the snowplow something starts clicking under the dash somewhere and the volt meter drops but I can't figure out what ? The more things I have on the more it does it. ONe of the fusible links going to the lug on the firewall was burned up. I fixed...
I got one for 100$ from Pureflow. I thought the one on my Dodge had failed and it was the ****ty workmanship at Lee's Auto Ranch in Ellington Ct so they let me keep the replacement one they sent for 100$ since there was nothing wrong with my original one other than a horrible install job.
