Custom Plow setup for my CUCV

So I got a Diamond setup(a copy of a Meyers EZ Mount Classic) and I want to put it on the CUCV but finding a truck mount was near impossible. Only one guy in PA had one and he wanted 550$ Plus shipping and it would probably need to be modified anyway due to the hieght of my CUCV so I decided I...

Loss of power and shuddering when hot

Are you sure it's a tranny problem ? sounds like a dead IP from what you are describing. Is there any grey smoke when it's running like crap ? Does it do it if you stop or does it idle normally ? Also if you suspect tranny how dos the fluid look burnt ? smelly ? If it's chattering then that...

    Looking to lift my cucv

I did 4 inch with 35's . I can run about 65-70. Oddly enough I checked the speedo against my GPS and it is within 2 mph. It almost seems more accurate now.

    Starter question

BTW alot of autoparts store idiots(not all mind you) can't use a bench tester. Idiots at NAPA told me two of my starters were bad. Both were fine. Problem was a shorted batt cable.

    Starter question

Where in CT are you ? The Gear reduction starter to my knowledge is 12v. I "believe" the 24v is Direct drive but even if it was a 12v hooked to 24v it would work for a little while. Crank like a SOB as well. You could just have a bad starter. Missing the back support bracket is very bad. it will...

    Anybody have spare Wellman 070

Yeah I found that out the hard way. Some idiot put them in my CUCV before I bought it. Made 8 little adapters. The truck wouldn't start good at all cold. I put 60gs in and 1/2 crank it's running. Night and day.

    Anybody have spare Wellman 070

OH god no... Stay away from WAP's. They don't last long and have been known to swell and be a bitch to get out. AC Delco's are the way to go.

    Anybody have spare Wellman 070

What voltage are the Wellmans ? 24v ? I have a set of AC delco 15's that I believe to be 24v that someone put in my CUCV. I took them out and put 60gs in The 15's have round connector. If they are what you need you can have them for what ever shipping is but I can't guarantee the condition.

    Got my lift in today

Boing!!! It looks and drives bad a$$. I gotta say didn't pickup as much top speed as I had hoped but what I did notice immediatly is the truck has much much more power. This is going to seem stupid but I think being so over geared with tiny tires it was running too high an RPM and past it's...
