The shutters are operated by a "Thermo Power Unit" It's the same basic principal as a thermostat in a car....when the antifreeze in your car gets hot enough it melts some wax encased inside your thermostat, which in turn pushes a plunger to open the valve of the thermostat to allow fluid to...
It might just be the fuel shut-off rod in the IP is gunked up and sticking. That's not an uncommon occurrence. I'm not even going to try to tell you how to go about fixing it.....it's too early in the morning for me and my memory isn't working just yet....however there have been a few threads...
You guys are having too much fun with that thing....you better send it my way to punish yourselves
Glad to see doghead is enjoying himself, maybe someday he'll let you drive it too
not to say it wouldn't work, but the desiccant cans used in AC systems are to capture the very little bit of moisture that may be left in a system after evacuation to prevent ice from forming (you are supposed to replace that can any time the system is opened to atmosphere)...I would think that...
That may be another advantage to the ether....more dense, liquid vs. gas what ever, but maybe the ether needs less than propane to work properly. the only times I've had to use mine, she fired after one shot....granted, it was only about 25 or so, but it still fired.
At those temps I could...
Clinto said in chat that he was going to do a lot more advertising this year...fliers at other events, a website, and others things, but I don't think that will be till maybe March or May (I can't remember which). I don't know if any date is set in stone yet, but it has been the weekend before...
I, for one, am very interested to see detailed pictures of your installation. I always keep my eyes open for the alcohol evap kits, but making my own would be a better plan.
Wreckerman,
As of this writing things are moving along nicely on my mobile power plant/lighting trailer project since I have just acquired a couple of sets of surplus floodlights. So even if we enjoy dining alfresco once again this year, we'll have better lighting around the dining area, MKT...
I just bought a new canister this fall...like drgreg said, $27 from a truck repair shop. NAPA is too expensive. The 18 oz cylinder should give you about 90 shots to start your trucks with.
1 fl oz is equal to about 29.5 CC...each metered shot is supposed to be 6 CC per the quickstart website...
it's up under the dash a little to the right of the gear shift on the cowl. To disconnect the buzzer, just pull the wire off of the bottom of it...it's that simple
typically the only way the cold would affect the buzzer and switch was if moisture got into the line going to the pressure switch and froze, thereby blocking the pressure from getting to the switch. We have this happen a lot in the steel mill in the winter time. More than likely though, your...
yeah....believe it or not, some goofy bidders actually bid up to at least $210 on a few of them, while about 10 or so didn't even get bids during that sale .
One of the ones I had a bid on get bumped up by another bid, so I just moved to one that had not had any bids yet.....makes no sense...
Today, after about 3 1/2 months my command post tent made it home from Eglin AFB in Florida. What a relay race that was. It all started out in September when I won the tent. I contacted Captain (Alredneck) about the pick-up, I won the tent on a Tuesday, buy Thursday (2 days later) woodywood...
the one on his front axle is repaired??????
What ended up being the problem...when I talked to him he made it sound like it was going to be a PITA to fix
Awesome ODdave!!!!!!!! Keep us posted about the install and operation. I know there are several people who need replacement motors. Myself, mine still works but I have been searching off and on for a little while to have the numbers on hand just in case I need a new one.
Gary,
At the very top of the "Deuce" forum where you posted this message is the "Deuce FAQ" thread...it's a sticky so it's always on top of the list. This is what is known as the deuce WIKI article. About 3/4 of the way down that article is a list and direct links to all of the 209 series...
Welcome aboard....don't let the whole GL process scare you off. I have two of the MEP-003a's running just fine and had actually bought a 3rd for parts back in the beginning of my adventure.
The best advice I can give you is download and read the manuals from the resources section...they are...
