Thanks Gimp,
That helps to clarify some things. I do have a few more questions though. You said the IP's are marked for what motor they go with, I have to assume that an IP that was originally meant to be on an LD motor can still be re-timed and made to run just fine with an LDT?
Also, I...
sounds like the brake light switch, attached to the air pack...as mentioned, just jump across the switch and see if your brake lights work...if so, get a new switch
Kevin,
I'm sorry to hear about the extra bleeding...when I saw you at the rally, I wasn't sure what happened to you (and know better than to ask people stuff like that). But you looked to be healing pretty well. I'm sure the Dr's told you this but don't lift anything heavy for a while, it...
DH, or maybe some of the other experts.
Would a converted LD (now and LDT) still timed as an LD at the hyd. head cause a pretty good loss of power? Cause this thing seems like a dog to me, even slight grades on the highway affect it....it will pull them in 5 high, but it's floored and the...
and I also understand that you can buy blades over the counter without any mods. Plus they have the built in knob for the washers...if you have a washer kit.
They do however make it harder to open the front windows from what I understand
Hey all,
First off I did search. Maybe I wasn't using the correct search parameters, but I did look.
I have a question about the multi in my deuce. I never really cared much about it until I was looking at a post by another member trying to re-time his hydraulic head. cranetruck posted a...
If the arms are swapped, while you have them out to reposition them, I would adjust the lengths and lock everything down before re-installation...it has to be easier to do it out of the truck than up inside the windows.
Like I said, the overall lengths of mine are posted, and mine swipe from...
Your rods may be on the wrong sides.
I have to assume that there is only one hole drilled in each wiper arm (the offset piece inside the cab). That offset on each arm should be pointing in the same direction as the wiper arm outside the window...when parked mine both point toward the right...
I've got the electric wipers as well, I'll go out in a bit and take some measurements and look at it for you and see if I can find anything to help you out.
Well, you met some of the nicest people on the site right there...IMHO.
I met Eric and Amy at the GA rally this past week, and they are a couple of the nicest, friendliest people I've ever met. I'm glad to hear that you got your MKT and that another member saved you the troubles of having to...
Well, I know it's not tomorrow...LOL,
But after getting back from the GA rally, I ordered a new starter drive (the geared clutch) and installed it today. So I rebuilt the starter for a grand total of $51.08...and it works GREAT!!!!!
I took a few pictures and a movie if anybody wants to see...
I figured you could use some vinyl and cement, but I was hoping to get the actual repair kit...as long as they are not too pricey, I'm a cheap a$$.
Thanks for the tips though
Mike,
First off let me start by saying that you and Richard outdid yourselves with the operation of that wonderful piece of military history, the MKT!
I agree with Gimp, the chicken and spaghetti was pretty good stuff, especially after busting hump all day packing and stacking, you can really...
Read the very first post in this thread...2009 vin info thread
It will tell you what information to enter and the proper way to enter it in a reply to the thread...in a day or two The all-knowing, all-seeing CARNAC will tell you the year, and all kinds of good information about your truck
