make sure to check your lug nuts before you pull out. I've heard reports about people leaving a base and their darned tires fall right off of the truck. You don't want that happening with your new beauty.
boxcar, we're anxiously awaiting an update, we love to hear about some fresh OD Iron that was saved and made usable again. Kind of giving it a second life, if you will.
I have to assume you talked to Matt over at Chambersburg, he's a great guy isn't he? He loaded up all 3 of mine. He was...
Hey, I can do that...I have experience now...LOL , Like I told you...anything I can help with I will gladly do. You're coming right by the place, if something does happen, we can try our best to get you going again. Worst case, you can park it here for a while until we can get her...
Keep at it bob, it'll happen soon enough. You'll just have to keep watching. I can promise you this, unless you get a non runner ( I truly hope you do not ), you'll be very happy with the set. I have to agree with Rat, I'm more than impressed with the way they operate, I'm dumbfounded as...
Electric water heater is purely a resistive load, no start-up current there. Whatever the current draw on it is, is what you get. Either way, in the event of a power outage, you probably will not be doing a lot of work in the shop, you'll more than likely have bigger fish to fry. So that A/C...
Good deal. They are beasts aren't they? I absolutely love mine. I could never afford a civi unit that can do the things these old MEP's can do. Did you have all of the A/C's cycling at the same time? I have to assume you had no issues with starting current, I wouldn't think so.
Frodo, can you verify with Timntrucks and see if he is indeed going to the rally, and if he would be willing to transport them for me. Grounded may also be making a recovery run to NM sometime in the future so it may not be necessary, but it's always nice to have a back-up plan.
drgreg, I did know that's where the shifter linkage went into the tranny and yes mine is blanked, but I thought the shaft would've come out somewhere else...Oh well. Live and learn! Had I known what it was though I could've saved myself a few hours and some very choice words being thrown at my...
NO SH*T!!! I thought that was a PTO shaft. I guess you learn something new every day. NOW WHY THE HE11 DIDN"T YOU TELL ME THAT LAST WEEK...LOL:twisted:
Well, I guess that's one tip I'll never forget. It's the lessons hard learned that stick with you!
The shaft out of the tower wasn't the problem...that damned PTO shaft at the top in the rear of the transmission was the bugger to work around...it was hitting the cross member and wouldn't let me hoist it any further until I slid it in more.
Guy's, that's not a problem. I have tons of property to store stuff, and I'm only about an hour or a little over from Columbus, With the baby and money being tight though, I just can't make any long deliveries, but I can certainly hold and relay anything you guys need.
That would work out good if somebody could get it from ARYankee's place to the GA rally and gimpyrobb. It's nothing more than a set of bows and a cover for a deuce, nothing big.
I had to wait till early afternoon before I could go out to work on the truck, as the baby is sick and mommy needed to go to get some medicines for her. Once she got back from the store, I went out and filled the transmission with fresh gear lube...boy it takes a lot! I filled it till I was...
I'm looking at picking up a few items in Oklahoma City. The price seems fair, but transportation is going to kill the deal unless I can find a way cheap enough. Time is not an issue, I'm in no hurry if I do decide to buy this stuff. I just can't take off for a week to go get it myself. Maybe...
I'm with 73m819 on this one. At the very least, pull the pressure plate and clutch and check things out. You've gone this far, might as well do it right. While I had mine out, even though it didn't need it, I changed the rear main seal as well. I don't want to go back and do this again...
