After reading this thread a few times, it finally occurred to me: The solution would be to use plain old pump diesel with a good diesel additive. Just my 2cents.

That's what I did. Took a Sawzall and cut the bolt on both sides of the spring.

If all you are trying to do is increase top end speed, the easiest and cheapest thing to do is increase tire diameter. Taller narrow tires will circumvent a lift kit. You might want to consider 9.00/16 NDT.

Or you could install 11.00/20 NDT and cruise at 100 mph.

I believe you can obtain a HMMWV intake from GimpyRob or Popacom

I don't understand why anyone would want more than the Trac-Lok in the front axle. It gives you true positraction going straight, and provides for over-running when cornering. Just my 2 Cents.

The proportioning valve is no longer available through normal parts sources. The only thing you can do is to obtain a replacement valve off a parts truck. There are several guys here on SS which have parts trucks. You may want to run a Parts Wanted ad in the classified section of the forum...

Pull those sway bar pins and you will see and feel a difference. I installed cross-over steering so my sway bar is long-gone.
