This is interesting...I just picked 5 random deuces with diesels from out back and 4 had 12 leafs and 1 had 10. I also checked 3 gassers and they all had 12. Now the mystery remains; why do some only have 10 leafs?

To answer your question it is not missing, there is not supposed to be one in there for normal daily driving. I believe if you are fording water you install the plug which is located right next to the hole.
