    Question about front springs

This is interesting...I just picked 5 random deuces with diesels from out back and 4 had 12 leafs and 1 had 10. I also checked 3 gassers and they all had 12. Now the mystery remains; why do some only have 10 leafs? I also checked an A3 and it has 12 also.

    Run Flats on a3 wheels?

I thought the same thing when I got mine, I figured I could sell them if I didn't ruin them. Well I looked at the manufacturer of the run flats web site (Hutchinson I believe) and they show how to do it with a ratchet strap. Well mine had that black slime in them still and made it very...

    Run Flats on a3 wheels?

I think they will work but I am really replying for your second question. I have taken these out before and I actually used a chainsaw to cut from the inside and go up until I got close to the tire then cut from the top down with a sawzall to complete the cut. Then I wrapped a chain around one...

Plug missing in front of tranny on 923

To answer your question it is not missing, there is not supposed to be one in there for normal daily driving. I believe if you are fording water you install the plug which is located right next to the hole.

    Front hub / bearing stuck!

I have literally taken hundreds of drums off when I strip down axles to sell and I have never backed off the shoes to remove a drum. As far as the bearing goes isn't the dark color from getting hot? If it was going in a mud truck I'd say leave it but personally I'd replace it since it's going...

    Front hub / bearing stuck!

Tap the outside of the drum with a hammer, that usually vibrates the bearing enough to get it to start to move without damaging anything.
