What do you guys do for bump stops if you use trailer springs now that the leafs are not directly under the frame?

They look cool but don't you think that's a little far for the stock tube to stretch?

I know this is an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one on the same topic, I am looking for the replacement channels too for the soft top and need a little help. I checked GMA's site but I don't seem to find any products list or catalog. Or is there another place to find the channel?

Man I like that look! What size tube did you use? I've read a lot of threads about 395s on stock rims and a lot of different size tubes have been used.

Does anyone know the current price from Longs for the rims that OD Iron used to sell?

Didn't OD Iron just get the rims done at Longs anyhow? When I got mine last year the shipping label had Longs name and address on it.

I've heard that about the ones down south, apparently we (Midwest) got some of the first produced A3s with the patched hood. Really makes the whole front end look like an afterthought.

I would like to have an A3 if the prices continue to drop AND if I can find one without the funky riveted plate that holds the hood together! It looks like the tin man from the Wizard of OZ!

Welcome to the site! I agree with dittle, the A3's are for sure slower even though they have bigger tires. I have the same tires on my A2 and it will do 60 easily. I personally would say go with the A2 and add what options you want. And I might be a little bias because I have 20 of them out...

If you can find one you can mount a pto off the rear of the t-case, they came on M49's I know to drive the rear water/fuel pump.

Don't ever mention "ex-military" to the agent, if they want a picture let them figure it out themselves. Just give them the vin, model, gvw etc. That is another problem a lot of people encounter.
