I'm sure the frame isn't heavy enough but the springs barely moved with the load on (granted it was empty), it's only 2200 lbs of tongue weight, those trailers are pretty tough.
Well I got it without any major problems. I have a bobcat that will lift the kingpin end but just barely so I moved it to the edge of my trailer and used a M105 trailer chassis and backed it up under it. A few 6x6 pieces of wood and a few chains and off it came! I don't think I would take it...
Ya I made sure it was chained good, there were 6 total. I had to let all the air out of the tires on the M146 to keep me at 13'6". The fuel mileage wasn't the best but it pulled nicer than a deuce does. Now I have to go figure out how to get it off, hopefully this doesn't turn into a "don't...
I was amazed last Friday I got 2 EUCs approved! One was at 63 days and the other was at 15!! I think I know why too, on Thursday evening I loaded some stuff on my trailer that I haul with just to keep them off the ground, now I have to unload everytihing to make a couple GL trips. Trust me...
Looks like they ran out of the tan spray paint to cover the bumper markings, nice yellow! Take some brake parts cleaner and spray it and the yellow should come off without harming the numbers underneath, worked for my trucks from IA.
That's possible, there were no visible signs of damage but who knows what they have been through. Not sure what the white spray paint is for, it was on there when I got them, I think it's to mark any checking, but it wasn't bad at all on that tire.
Yes it is a tubeless rim. Nothing sharp near it or anything rubbing on it, I'm hoping it was just a fluke and will never happen again! The only thing the tire hit was the mud flap when it let go, I'll bet it made a heck of a boom when it blew!
I have a semi tire shop right by my house, they do the mounting for me, they weren't sure why it let go either. It had very minor weather checking and it wasn't near the failure. It was kind of an old tire with a date code of 515 which is the 51st week of 1995 (or 1985).
I run single Michelin 14.5 R20's on my deuce and I really like them, however, I had a little issue with one. I used my deuce to take my kids to their baseball game (probably an 8 mile drive one way, mostly 40-50 MPH), everything was fine when I got home, the next day I found this! Just glad I...
