Yeah I've seen this happen a few times. The problem is there is so much that can be damaged by an over-rev'ed engine. Like "ToddJK" mentioned you can have damage to the crank bearings, but more importantly your piston rods can be bent. Seen one engine that bent all six rods just "slightly" ...
That's a good price. Considering the market has all but dried up on Deuce's, (everyone has gone to the newer trucks) anyone making parts for them doesn't have much of a chance of making a profit. Their making them for the love of the Deuce at this point.
Hate to say it but you might have clutch damage. That screeching sound is a lack of fluid and the clutch trying to engage. That is also why your performance is bad. The clutch packs are slipping.

There's a company in Indiana (Fleece Performance) that can modify any controller for the Allison. I'm sticking with a 5 speed configuration as two over drive gears would be too much for a MultiFuel to handle. Not enough torque to pull that second over-drive gear.

I replaced all my rubber hoses with the "Braided Stainless Steel" covered Teflon hoses. They should last my lifetime and that of my son too !
