They make a 24 volt model. You can also order the 24 volt heater kit separately

Deuce and a half questions about transmission

It's fairly easy to go from 1st to 2nd . You cannot go from 2nd to 1st though since 1st has no synchro's. When I drove the Deuce with the platoon in back, I had to stop the truck at stop lights. Then put the truck in 1st. Then start the truck up in gear and go from there. Thankfully the...

Failed valve retainers and bent valve

    Totally agree.

Deuce and a half questions about transmission

Now take that up one notch and learn to shift without using the clutch. It is a real good feeling to be able to shift by throttle and engine RPM alone. I had to drive a platoon of my fellow Marines back to base after the clutch got stuck and would not release. That was three hours of fun !

    M35a3 screeching noise

Your right. I shouldn't post when I'm tired. Though a simple "the steering assist uses air" would have sufficed.

    M35a3 screeching noise

Any vehicle that has power steering can make a screeching noise when turned to the knuckle stops. The over-pressure valve is relieving pressure and it makes a squealing sound. That being said your truck does not have a standard power steering system . It has an air powered "steering assist" drag...

Failed valve retainers and bent valve

Yeah I've seen this happen a few times. The problem is there is so much that can be damaged by an over-rev'ed engine. Like "ToddJK" mentioned you can have damage to the crank bearings, but more importantly your piston rods can be bent. Seen one engine that bent all six rods just "slightly" ...

    Spin on oil filter kit

That's a good price. Considering the market has all but dried up on Deuce's, (everyone has gone to the newer trucks) anyone making parts for them doesn't have much of a chance of making a profit. Their making them for the love of the Deuce at this point.

Here's hoping they don't find anything bad !

    M35a3 screeching noise

Hate to say it but you might have clutch damage. That screeching sound is a lack of fluid and the clutch trying to engage. That is also why your performance is bad. The clutch packs are slipping. There are not many transmission shops left that can work on a AT1540/AT540 transmission. Even though...

    M35a2 automatic transmission swap?

There's a company in Indiana (Fleece Performance) that can modify any controller for the Allison. I'm sticking with a 5 speed configuration as two over drive gears would be too much for a MultiFuel to handle. Not enough torque to pull that second over-drive gear. As far as a throttle position...

    Grangeville ID Border Days Parade

You were robbed! You should have taken first place with that great looking truck ! Maybe they dinged you on not having factory tires. I wished my truck looked as clean. I really need to pressure wash it. The green gunk has taken over.

Finding the "good" wheel cylinder kits...

It seems all my private messages and saved photos are gone. I had uploaded hundreds of PDF's and photos and had them saved in a folder here, now there all gone.

Finding the "good" wheel cylinder kits...

Hose failure seems to be the most common failure, followed by leaking (bleed screws) or broken fittings. I have seen a wheel cylinder piston come out of it's bore twice ! On one the shoes were really out of adjustment and the drums had worn out. That was an immediate loss of brakes ! Came into...

Finding the "good" wheel cylinder kits...

Boy you got that right ! Cheaper just means it will cost you more later. I replaced all my rubber hoses with the "Braided Stainless Steel" covered Teflon hoses. They should last my lifetime and that of my son too !
