If you don't have voltage to the actuator the engine cannot run. Actuator is the fuel solenoid. It retracts with voltage so the fuel rail can move open. That's why if you remove the actuator the fuel rail will move full left and it will run. The system varies the voltage to the actuator to...
You can take the fuel solenoid out and it will run. When you crank on normal setting there should be voltage at the actuator contacts. The speed controller varies the voltage to control engine speed vs load so you can't just apply voltage and expect it to work. Gotta look at the schematic in the...
Have a lmtv 6x6 in Whitehall Ohio. Non runner but tires inflated it will roll. Its an on base site only pickup day is Wed mornings. Looking for either someone to recover and store or someone with a place close to there to store it and I can have a tow yard move it. None of my regular haulers can...
Make sure the signal is making its way to the governor module. For some reason the governor isn't opening the fuel solenoid if there is only voltage at the solenoid when you crank on cold start. Could be a bad connection somewhere. Could be the governor. The manual doesn't have step by step...
The manual isn't good for much. Usually screw the sender in till it touches the back off 3/4 turn. You can put a multimeter on ac and crank it. See if you get a few volts.
Replace the whole line its your fuel return. If thats leaking chances are your injector lines from the rail are dry rotted also. Good idea to do those as well. The hood piece of metal just pulls off and you can use regular small hose clamps.
Same with the output speed sensor on the trans. If its a little off it may not throw a code but I have found replacing it improves shifting. Although its a non contact sensor it seems to wear out over time.
If I make it a runner it would probably be by swapping on a regular cab. I just dont have time to fab up the fancy cab on it. Would be neat though. Im sure I can find someone with more time than me who wants the cab.
