Make sure the signal is making its way to the governor module. For some reason the governor isn't opening the fuel solenoid if there is only voltage at the solenoid when you crank on cold start. Could be a bad connection somewhere. Could be the governor. The manual doesn't have step by step...

The manual isn't good for much. Usually screw the sender in till it touches the back off 3/4 turn. You can put a multimeter on ac and crank it. See if you get a few volts.

Did you clean out the fuel pump catch? Could be a bad fuel pump. On high idle it's enough to overcome it.

Replace the whole line its your fuel return. If thats leaking chances are your injector lines from the rail are dry rotted also. Good idea to do those as well. The hood piece of metal just pulls off and you can use regular small hose clamps.

Little diaphrams inside have cracks. There is a rebuild kit available.

I have something like that. Doesn't pull quite as much of a load though. There is a difference between resistive and inductive load calculations.

Same with the output speed sensor on the trans. If its a little off it may not throw a code but I have found replacing it improves shifting. Although its a non contact sensor it seems to wear out over time.

If I make it a runner it would probably be by swapping on a regular cab. I just dont have time to fab up the fancy cab on it. Would be neat though. Im sure I can find someone with more time than me who wants the cab.
