That would be pretty neat. Probably just reinforced fiberglass though. I have seen other odd prototype things come out of the Ohio area over the years.
Won something neat today. Anyone ever seen one of these? Looks like one could just have flat glass cut to size for the windows. Cab looks like fiberglass.
Maybe water got in and some rust causing valves not to seat. Could the starter be slipping and even though it makes noise only turning the motor slowly when it sounds like its freewheeling.
It should roll smooth at 50. Measure the front tire toe. You can use a tape measure. Tires straight. Should be the same distance between the front of the front wheels and the back of the front wheels. Being a bit off you may not feel it on street but will on highway.
The brakes release air out of the gkadhands. A blocked front blue gladhand will cause your brakes to not release. A blocked red front gladhand that is blocked off because its leaking air will release your brakes when you don't want them released. Either way it won't work out well for you.
Newer design. The old style is discontinued. Your clutch may be ok. Just a good idea to take a look at it. Get the part number off it we can see which one it is.
He is heavier than you and thats a big advantage. Is his gas or diesel? The humvee isnt really made for pulling like that. Are you doing it on dirt or pavement? Humvee has torsen diffs you need traction on both sides of an axle to have traction in that axle. You need more weight. An extra 800lbs...
I don't think you would have the weight handling capacity. I have a set from a 1083 that are lighter springs. Would ride a bit better than tractor ones.
If it was me I would at least take the fan and clutch off to inspect. See if you have the older or newer style clutch. If its ok then you have peace of mind and you can loctite the bolts well when you put it back together. If its the older clutch you should replace with the newer style. I have...
Second vid, a bit hard to tell from the vid but it looks like when you are moving the fan blade the clutch itself is moving a bit. If thats the case I would investigate further.
