That power steering pump will work. If you look at the picture with the red circle that engine lifting bracket has 2 holes that is where the remote reservoir bolts fast. I like that set up . Beats the stock set up now that you have it. Save the coin and get other things in order before you spend...
I don't like that standard bolt in the block. That hole is METRIC M8 1.25 I told you that. Don't try that 5/16" grade 5. I see 3 hash marks for grade 5. Thread chase that hole really good and make sure some other Knucklehead don't have the threads nuts up with standard bolt. Good Luck.
This is a reverse band similar to the TH400. If it is bad and worn it will have no reverse. I have been thru many reverse bands over the years with plow trucks. No amount of magic oil or changing filters is going to fix the issue. I have seen it happen in a heartbeat and I seen it progress with...
I received a few pictures via Email on an estimate to repair this Blazer.
A friend seen it on Facebook market for $2500. He called me and ask if I got the pictures. I said yes. I ask if he was near the vehicle. He said he was on his way to look at it. I said make a U turn and head back...
A used injection pump is not new and is not considered rebuilt. Unless I heard and knew the engine that the donor pump was removed from ran as designed I would not even go thru the effort to install a used injection pump. And that would be ME seeing and hearing the engine run that the injection...
When you see a vehicle with excessive rust. Be very careful and think " Do I want to put this thing up on a lift and stand under it. I had a 4 X 4 Isuzu P'up diesel and welded the frame several times to get it to pass inspection. I seen it a few years later in a scrap yard and the only thing...
I used a self tapper and JB Weld and fastened the wires back in the hole so the harness had something connected to it. Done it on a few over the years. But I bought every switch I ever seen and used them all but 1. I still have 1 brand new switch.
Just put a self tapping screw and sealer in the hole behind the pressure sensor and drive on. I see the pressure switches for sale from time to time. I have a few optional filters I removed from CUCV's and returned to stock fuel filters. I am OCD and don't like things that don't belong when a...
I didn't see this post. Yes make sure you have a starter heat shield in place and the wire starter trigger wire goes behind the heat shield and onto the inner stud on the starter. I would turn the injection pump towards the drivers side 2 line thicknesses and see if that helps. With the glow...
Seems odd to have a 3 speed wiper switch for Back Up lamps. But whatever. And yes that will work for wipers. Just a bit confused as to what you are doing. Good Luck.
A new ball is less then $20. I will just replace it. It has razor blade chrome peeling from it. If it were something special I would just fix it but it is nothing and not worth the effort.
My 1977 K5 with the 400 in it sounded like NASCAR with the 4 barrel. It really had no power it just sounded bad. The 1977 400 shows 175 net horsepower and 290 net torque. WOW that is a dog. The new 5.3 engine is basically a 325 CI. Introduced in 1999, the 5.3-liter (325-cubic-inch) Vortec...
M1009 Black Lock Out Hub housings. OEM used. I am posting these pictures here for a prospect. I can not post pictures on PM. Let me know via PM if you are interested. It is a Steel Soldiers member that ask if I had them. Here they are.
That was a nice K5 in the day. It had A/C, power doors, tilt wheel and everything. I imagine it is a 1978. That snow plowing killed and still kills many good vehicles. I had a 1977 K5 with a 400 in it. With the lid on the air cleaner flipped it sounded like it was ready to take off. I was out...
