    Replacement trans cooler line o-rings?

I would remove and inspect then. All the ones I have taken off have been on super tight though. I would not have been able to tighten any of the ones I have taken off. It takes alot of force to get them off. Crows foot on breaker bar with pipe on end. If you moved it then its loose.

    Replacement trans cooler line o-rings?

I would first see if somehow it loosened up. If not I would try to get it off and inspect around the flare for cracks. I think this is something that a road service truck may be able to address. If the line is damaged at the end, maybe it could be cut back a bit and re-flared and a small adapter...

    Replacement trans cooler line o-rings?

I have not had one leak or broken line but there was a thread before it had happened. Looks like a flare fitting. I dont remember an O ring. This line has been sitting outside for some time.

    Replacement trans cooler line o-rings?

I might have some lines lying around that I took off something. Can look. Its a pain to get a wrench in there. I use a big crows foot.

What year FMTV to purchase? A0/A1/A1R?

Nothing in this size and capacity is going to be any more reliable anywheres near lmtv price range. If you don't mind a stick shift I have seen some nice unimogs online. Not cheap and they come with their own set of issues. The military had good luck with the a1 lmtvs. A lot of the bad rep they...

What year FMTV to purchase? A0/A1/A1R?

It's definetly not a Toyota. The newer ones are a bit more reliable. Still need significant regular maintenance if you are depending on it for long road trips. Several members have gone on several thousand mile trips in theirs. It falls on ymmv.

MEP-803aclack noise, spontaniously runs roungh during warm up. Injector or lifter?

Some diesel engines get a fuel knock if they are slightly fuel starved or are sucking in air from somewhere. That would jive with it bogging down a bit also. It it was me I would do new filters and replace all the rubber fuel lines to start with.

    M1078 gear change transmission program

I believe the transmission does have an over pressure vent. I have read about overly thick trans fluid in very cold environments coming out the trans vent until the trans warms up a bit. But leaking out a vent and mixing of water and trans fluid are two very different things.

    Reverse Lights Wiring

Use a fused link in the battery box with a relay. I use the neutral switch to switch the ground on the relay coil and activate the reverse light when shifted to that position.

Are hydraulic winches hard to come by?

You could probably do an electric rear winch. Make a big strong bracket behind and a bit below the passenger side light bracket. Would need a significant amount of bracing bolted to the frame rail. Not much space to mount a front winch.

    Temp Sender Question

alot of the engine bay sender connections can come loose. Sometimes a clean and tighten can help.

    So screwed...bought a 1078 today...wife doesnt know yet!!

It's usually a dual volt 12/24 100 amp alternator. The current rating is split between the two. I guess you could run the truck with an inverter. Not really efficient and big inverters are expensive. Get a 10kw mil generator.

    Temp Sender Question

I had thought there was one for the dash gage and one that controls the fan clutch.
