These have maybe a 1/4 inch hole for wire. If you want to crimp them it has to be with the proper aero terminal crimper. If then terminal pins get out of round they wont fit in the hole. The torch would be overkill for this.
If it was me I would wire up some high efficiency led lighting to run off the 24v batts. So you dont have to have a gen running just for basic lighting. Then wire the exisiting lighting to run off a single phase gen.
I have the smaller hand crimper it wont do those big pins. You have to lay out the whole assembly with cable. Dont want to get it partially together and then see you forgot a piece and have already started soldering. I used really thin 60/40 solder. Thinner the better. Need something to hold the...
You need to adjust the throttle cable so you get full throttle. There is a threaded rod where the cable meets the fuel pump. Make sure the cable moves smooth. Sometimes you need to disconnect the cable and re route it in the engine bay so there isnt tight bends in it. Then drive it. Especially...
First is low range. Keep it out of mode and low unless you are off road. You should be able to put it in drive and give it full throttle to run from 2-7. The 2-3 shift is a wide ratio.
You need to run the snot out of that truck and it should start shifting ok. Make sure you are getting full gas pedal travel. Take it up on the highway and run it wide open to 57 for a few miles. Make sure your fluids are right before doing this.
No it was raining and I was busy bidding in humvees that I don't really need. Supposed to be nicer tommorrow. Gotta be something in the regulation circuit. I think those modules are over the counter civilian parts.
The throttle cable may need some adjustment. Alot of trans issues are low voltage either weak batts or the alt is not charging. It wont let you downshift into a gear that would cause over rev while moving. Sometimes you just need to run it hard to get the trans going again. Post a pic of where...
