Took the oil pan off this morning and welded up the hole, also got the pan back on the motor.
This job is about done. Now to move to the next problem.
If I remember when I had my A3 that the TM said to hold the throttle paddle down when your cranking it and it would take a little of that before it would prime.
Well, after some thinking and a little work, the motor and transmission were ready to pull out.
Castle Bravo, my wife and I pulled the motor out and sat it on the motor stand that I built.
When we pulled it out we had a little problem and put a small hole in the oil pan((*&^%*).aua
The next...
98G is right!!!!
I had a m925 push my M923A1 around when I was towing it on the way home after the transmission died on it.
I was on a dirt road and not using the brakes on the M925, I only had to go about 3 miles.
You are right about the slope. I know it may not be apples and apples, but here is my M931a1 with a M970 fuel trailer with 11.00x20's on it and it does have some slope.
You do not any adapters to put on 11.00x20's on the 9.00x20 wheel. If you have 6 bolt Deuce type wheels the 11.00x20's should go right on, if you have clearances on the trailer.
The number is in the 5 Ton Sticky thread. It Show to be napa 5271 or wix 15271, but that is not listed as coming with the filter.
The filter to use is a Wix 51954. Look at the Wix web site and it shows all the gaskets that come with the filter...
Yes they are the fill ports and that is a air vent. The lube order will have the amounts for fluid to use.

I have seen the slave port do something like that. Remove the neg. side of the slave port cable and use a ohm meter and test from the neg side of the port to ground on the truck and see if it is shorted. If it is then that may of been the problem.
I have some friends in Houston and Austin and they said they have had lots of rain!!
I am from Austin and have seen it rain hard, but never like this I guess.
