You will need to call GP on Tuesday and get an appointment to pick it up and then they will give you hours of operation. I have never been to that particular location, and they may be cool with you just showing up, but some locations will not allow walk up pick ups
Sounds like a fun trip. Hope all goes well and keep us posted (a few pics would be great as well). Have you mapped out SS members along that route just in case you run into issues?
Air over hydo to electric over hydro brakes is not very difficult to do and will run you less than $1000 for all the parts needed to make the swap. Definitely much cheaper than replacing axles/tires. Parts for that system are probably interchangeable with most large military trailers and should...
Keep in mind that California stupid money also comes into play. That same truck if sold in Georgia probably would have only reached the mid twenties. I watch all kinds of stuff and vehicles. Everything east of Las Vegas and north of the Oregon border usually sells much cheaper than the vehicles...
Awesome find on the crane. Did GP have an NSN for that kit or was it just the kit number of 57K1215 ? I missed them if they just auctioned off three and need to know how GP listed it so I can accurately search for more.
I did not use that one in particular, but the one I found (which I believe is linked earlier in this thread) did not match up with the oil and transmission cooler lines so I had to get new connectors for the hoses to match what was on the radiator. You may run into that problem with any designed...
Do you have a link to the website selling it? Or is this the one your referring to?

I am nowhere near the expert needed to really give you a yay or nay, but it doesn't seem too bad, and parts can be found here and on other sources (although generally cheaper here with better service!) Might be a fun garage project for the winter.
So with a little bit of quick math, that will cost the buyer approximately $41,360 out the door in California once RB gets their 10% and the state tax gets lumped in. Thats a small fleet of LMTVs that could have been purchased instead of a cab without a truck. Amazing!
For what it's worth, finding an actual military trailer to fit your needs may be near impossible. That being said, it's not that difficult to make a civilian or custom trailer look military. Just food for thought.
Z,
I was looking at these (below). They would fit into the stock battery bow and seem to cover the needs. Since the heater recharges them, not a need for a lot of amp hours. Thoughts?
Duracell Ultra 12V 2.3AH General Purpose AGM SLA Battery with F1 Terminals - SLAA12-2.2F at Batteries Plus
Reworking this thread to ask a question. I just picked up a SHC 60 and it still had the battery pack (batteries are toast after trying to recharge). I found for the battery box was easy to open and wonder if anyone has actually replaced the 12 batteries and resealed it up? It seems this could be...
Mike,
Have you checked for power at the ends of the cord once plugged into the converter? That definitely sounds like a power cable or power converter issue and not MBU. I could see one not working, but all 8? I may have a griddle/burner side in my MKT stuff, for sure NOS 2 burner cables. Let...
