Front gladhands are air in only. I never tried to use rear emergency air for anything. Dash trailer valve would have to be pressed for rears to operate.
I had been thinking about adding an extra tank somewhere for aux air. Feed it off the trucks air system with a pressure protective valve inline. Could have a secondary feed to it via small 24v compressor I have one somewhere.
The alcohol is used when you have frozen water in your lines and you cannot drive the truck. It isnt the best thing for the air brake system but it does get moisture cleared out.
There are 3 diaphragms in the tractor valve. The rebuild kit had a bunch of stuff with them but it's usually just one of the 3 diaphragms that's bad. I will find the haldex kit number when I get to work tommorrow. I think it's posted in a thread somewhere though.
The tractor valve uses the same style diaphragms that the other checks do. If it's venting out the tractor valve when the brake pedal is pressed then the tractor valve needs new diaphragms. You don't have to rebuild the whole thing.
Before air dryers there were alcohol bottles on air systems to help with moisture. If its cold and you have frozen moisture in your air system you can put special alcohol in your air system. It goes in past the air dryer. Air system alcohol is probably better wording for it than air dryer...
If it's both rear wheels, as in brakes not releasing, the compounding valve can be stuck. Some air dryer alcohol in the system can help with that. Happens more in the cold though.
Go to private message type in smittyjr. Tell him you need the solenoid pack. Needs to be from wtec2 trans. Pre 1998. I think there are some threads discussing removal of the pack. Not for the same reason but the info should be good.
Ok I just told you what it is and where to find one. You can call Allison for it. Part number is in the tm. Prob around 4000 new if the wtec2 version is even in production anymore.
Double digits on the keypad would be wtec2. The wtec3 version is different. Smittyjr has a trans he sold the transfer case off it. Could probably get him to sell you the solenoid pack.
