rpms hang because you are sucking air, the leak is because what ever is leaking expands when hot, hence the leak, get the truck to operating temp. clean around the ip, you should see the leak, look for a crack or a loose screw.

If you are going to do the build why not mount a deuce dropside behind the cab, then a knuckle boom, then the fifth wheel, this setup would solve a bunch of issues AND look good.
This would be the BEST way to go, If you want, I will do the build, give me a call (when my phone is working again), The 927/928 has a reinforced frame to start with, so the frame should not be a issue.
Well made it home about 1530 hrs, minor hic-up called a right front 177 blowout, it was like a bomb went off, bits of tire went everywhere, I got bits and pieces for a few projects, calked and 1/2 painted the houch, It was good to see everybody and on top of everything got to meet Robert (ROBO)...
I have a full set of straps to 4"x20', I do not like to use ratchet straps for lifting because of the way they are used (tighten till TIGHT), this weakens the strap, will work fine for securing a load but not a lift.
