Any Tips On Getting HMMWV Wheels To Seal Completely

How rusty in the bead. Get the wheels sand blasted, primed and painted. Wire brush is only so effective. After that you have to go big time on them.

looking for brake parts CUCV 1984 M1009

It never rains in Germany. We don't need no stinkin wipers. In Deutschland regnet es nie. Wir brauchen keine Scheibenwischer Wir verwenden Laserstrahlen, um die Windschutzscheibe zu trocknen und sauber zu halten.

looking for brake parts CUCV 1984 M1009

I hope that helps. Good Luck. If it were me I would pull the axles and do the axle seals and the wheel cylinders. Put brake problems in your rear view mirror. Mach es gleich beim ersten Mal richtig und schau niemals zurück.

looking for brake parts CUCV 1984 M1009

It takes the larger brakes. Don't let anyone talk you into using the small width shoes just because they fit and work. It is brakes you are working on. \ https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/chevrolet,1984,k5+blazer,6.2l+379cid+v8+diesel,1050589,brake+&+wheel+hub,brake+shoe,1688 AC Delco 14473B

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Today I was off early to help a family friend split some wood. I always knew why I bought the towing package. It spilt a lot of wood. Mainly I run the lever. Then I came home and repaired my little wood hauler. I removed a used starter from a parts tractor and fixed all my issues. Something is...

    Charging system help

Also keep in mind you can get self exciting voltage regulators installed in the stock alternators and then the idiot lights in the dash are not needed. I had them put on 2 plow trucks that I had to work on every year or two. That is over with now. Good Luck.

    Charging system help

Ship it PA and I will fix it for you. You can drive it back home and enjoy the scenery. Sounds like a challenge and it is probably something simple. The guys at the dealerships were babies when they built these trucks. I was a young guy just starting out when they came to the dealership I worked...

M1009 Jack Storage Photos For Reference

Here's a nice stock Chevrolet Civilian truck set up that fits on the left inner fender well under the hood. I was digging around and came across lots of parts and misc. stuff. I had a vehicle that was going to the crusher and always clean up and fill it with scrap smalls and what ever is...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Those are Ground Hogs. Speaking of Ground Hogs I feel like one after a day like today. Very dirty and tired. I will elaborate later but right up front. The M1009 project never happened today. I did manage to locate some awesome grade 8 1/2" flange bolts that will work perfect for the cab...

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Today my progress will be thwarted a bit. I have mandatory work at my day job. All is well I will do my best to get things done. Manchmal laufen die Dinge nicht wie geplant. Aber ich werde es wieder gut machen. Have a Great Day and Be Safe.

Fuel issue , bad injection pump?

Throttle shaft seals. IMHO it needs a rebuilt pump. Don't dance around the issue. Fix it once and done. That is my best advice. I changed many and it cures a lot of issues at once. Good Luck.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

There will be no boredom here in my barn this weekend. I can always find stuff to do when the mail and parts arrive on time. The Energy Suspension body mounts have arrived and I didn't pay the shipping. Free is always good for shipping. I should have bought the RED at least you can see they...

    Starter Question

You can cut and drill the 27 MT support bracket to fit the 28 MT starter. All you need to do is mount the bracket up on the block loosely and pivot it back and forth to scribe a mark where the starter stud will make contact. Then remove the bracket cut it to length and drill a 1/4" hole. And the...

CUCV Snow Plow Trucks and Spreaders

I have the luxury of having a loader and a back hoe so I decide where the water runs. I smash thru snow piles and spread them out everyday the sun is shining. It does create a lot of runoff if not managed. Keep it a far away from buildings as possible and shovel everyday to thin it out and get...

Water Pump Bolt / Crossover Pipe

My point about the steel pipe nipple in the aluminum alloy coolant manifold is not whether you can get it out. It is can you get it back in after you get it out? I see the threads in the manifold coming along with the nipple. Maybe not but I find it easier to remove the coolant manifold since...

Water Pump Bolt / Crossover Pipe

I would remove the entire coolant crossover manifold. I would think no farther of removing the steel nipple adapter from the aluminum cross over. Like I stated the gaskets on the coolant manifold need serviced anyway. And if things get desperate I can send you a few new M10 flange bolts for...

Water Pump Bolt / Crossover Pipe

You need to use an impact on them bolts. The hard strike of the impact will free them from the corrosion. If they are that bad the gaskets need changed anyway. Good Luck. Get impact sockets and move on.
