I would park on the uphill side and plow all down hill. I had a few lanes like that in the past. All mountain dirt roads. I used to drop off a truck the day before the snow or drive up with the plow raised and plow down hill. Plowing up hill is fruitless and hard on equipment. Good Luck.
Made my order for the Energy Suspension body mount kit. part # 3.4118G
Motor mount and transmission mount kit part # 3.1124G
Both in Black. Red was tempting but I knew that wasn't an option. My last build has RED but I didn't buy them they were gifted to me. Never mattered they look just as good.
Light socket has a ground in it. And I would say the blinker fluid is low or switch the flashers for a moment top for bottom and see if it is a bad flasher. Fuse box under drivers side dash. Good Luck.
Good thing you still have any flesh and hair. I use a torch and heat the nuts and remove them. Too many eye injuries with a plasma cutter in tight areas like that. Hope you are OK.
Should be listed high on the CUCV list of important parts and information. That is a stop dead item. It exceeds many of the less useful information. Glad I could help.
Man if you were closer I have 4 decent spring sets from an M1008 Plow truck. They were used 1 year before it was crashed. That ride to Europe would be a killer. Take Care and Good Luck.
I am surprised it runs at all. Most don't even run with the incorrect pump on them. Like I said this should be listed in the important CUCV details. This is vital information. Unlike some of the stuff they do have listed which is just plain unneeded and not required. Also make sure the motor...
Have welder? All plows fit all trucks when you have a welder. CUCV was always good for plowing because the dual alternators. Now with the newer trucks and the high amp alternators available the old dual alternators are really not needed. But I have made several plows fit in the past. last 20...
Tonight's goal had to be easy. I worked from 0500-1700 at my day job. I loaded the transmission and my Honda starter and took them to the rebuilders. That was not as easy as it sounds. I had a major oil spill from the torque converter sliding out. It wasn't in my Trail Boss so I didn't get too...
I couldn't tell you the correct part number but 906 does sound correct. I know by looking at it and handling the lever which one is correct. I received 3 different pumps from 3 different vendors and only 1 was correct. The 3rd one I was told to keep. It was incorrect and they didn't want it...
I am going to guess that you have the incorrect lift pump. I seen it more time than I would like to mention. It happened to me a few years back and drove me crazy. Sorry to say you may be removing the lift pump again. The correct pump has resistance immediately on compression of the lever arm...
Not a totally wasted day but I was more involved in my Honda wood hauler project than I would like to be in wood burning season. I thought the valves needed adjusting I discovered they were slightly out of adjustment. I had last adjusted them in January 2016. I went on to checking how it starts...
12 Volt battery state of charge chart and info (mmbalmainauto.com.au)
I posted this thread because many people fail to realize that a 12 volt battery may have 12 volts and still only be 25% charged. The link I posted shows the chart and rate of charge. I get fooled from time to time with...
After all that great progress yesterday I must move onto another short but deserving project. I have my Honda wood hauler I made from an old discarded Honda rider lawn mower. It has been binding every time I try and start it cold. I replaced the starter, battery and added an additional ground...
The mid ship carriage bolts are tack welded into the center of the floor inside the cab. This little cordless angle grinder makes childs play out of grinding small areas and with the Rolok abrasive pads it is the best tool from cleaning up surfaces of gaskets and prepping to put on a new...
After lunch it was only a matter of minutes and the transmission was out and on the jack. I done all this work alone and slowly so I could keep everything neat and safely remove the transmission. the wood blocks and small bottle jacks are my go to reliable helpers. With everything balanced and...
It has been a while since I seen the transmission cooler lines all tucked up in place with both the original clamps holding them in place. I will do my best to retain that stock look. Most I see have splices and hose in place. Now I am going to remove everything from the transmission I have...
Keeping my word and honoring my own New Years resolution I returned to my shop and it was all clean and everything was put away. No looking for tools and missing sockets. The M1009 was ready for further improvements. After many years of always having scrap Plastic oil drain pans and tinny ones...
