It's a m1078. Original rear was removed I think it had issues. They used one of my power divider rears in place of the original rear but mounted it a bit forward so it would have a better turn radius for plowing.

It's a 4x4 the rear axle is just moved forward. I don't think there was much to it. Move axle and associated support forward and make a shorter driveshaft to fit. Used the same rear axle that you got. I have more of them new and used.

A friend of mine did it for one of his customers. He said the rear axle was moved forward a bit for tighter turning. The owner is making it into a plow truck.

This one has an intermediate axle in place of the original rear.

It's standard automotive push on channel door strip. Nothing special or military specific.

I prefer not to use GPs shippers. You would have to find a shipper with a winch and ramps or drop deck. Sometime you can find independent guys on uship. I personally don't like brokers.

The M1123 GP Marine Corps trucks come with a road legal sf97 you can road reg them.

Added cost probably. I dont think alot of the off site locations they were renting at first worked out well for them.

You need the primer pump. It's a recirculating system you don't have to open a bleeder to prime. Push pump till hard crank and repeat if needed.

I had a non runner from Bragg dropped off today. Batts and a few pumps on the primer it started right up.

The 8.3 with the fuel turned up is like night and day. I never drove any of my van trucks with significant weight in them but my m936a2 wrecker weighs 36k and that goes pretty good with the fuel rate turned up.

The fmtv trucks are reliable. You will have to initially work the kinks out of anything. Lmtvs have a larger cab and are all around more comfortable.

I dont know if I would spray wd40 into the air system. If the spring brakes are not engaging they may be out of adjustment or other issue.

I believe the axles are vented to the ctis quick release valves. Maybe something is slghtly out of round causing premature wear.
