21 23 bad throttle position sensor. Its a black box above the primer/fuel filter with a cable going to the throttle on the fuel pump.

I got a pair of 1088a1 tractors out of TX they are clean rust free trucks. Both needed u joints, driveshafts and power panels. The 330hp really moves. Still tops out at 58 or so but gets there pretty fast.

Fuel sender has a connection on tank that can come loose. The trans comp uses input from several sensors to determine when to shift. Mil trucks in general have harsh shifting. Was there any codes? The trans comp is very good at self diagnosing.

If you dont need the cargo bed a 1088a1 tractor would work well.

I prefer the 3126 to the C7 and the C7 trucks usually are alot more expensive anyways. You have to look at the individual trucks and see how they appear to have been maintained and used. Depending on what you are doing a 4x4 may be better than the 6x6.

VT will issue a permanent reg in your name. Down the line you can transfer to NH. You dont need to bring the truck to VT to do it.

VT is easy you can walk into dmv and walk out with antique reg on that truck in hand for 32 bucks plus tax. They will use your NH address they dont care there. Dont need the truck there dont need a verification although its a good idea to have a pic of the data plate with you just in case.

Would go into heat protection when it really should not have or at bad timing or the thermal protection would just go bad. It just lifts a ground from the aux start solenoid on the frame rail near the starter and can be bypassed with a wire.
