    1965 M109a3 Transmission Drain Plug

Portrayal Press has all (most) of the deuce TM's on paper. I believe they're under new mgmt. and have a new focus on service and fresh material. I bought all of the deuce TM's them in 2003 and spent over $300 but like you said, it's nice to relax in the chair in the evening with a paper book...

    Extra storage

Do you mean in terms of: A. An issue with it touching the spare tire mount? B. An issue of insufficient support? I kept angling the box and trying to get it to fit in a different way and it more or less ended up this way every time. I can always add additional mounts. Thanks

    Extra storage

The rear of the box is being supported by the top of the spare tire mount.

    Brill trailer

Lot less ground clearance. Think about going through a ditch with a deuce and an M105, then think about trying to do that in a CCKW with this thing.

    Where's the Land-Rover Section?

I personally think there are enough MOD Rover's out there that we could give them a forum, but that's a decision that's above my rank. I have always thought we had some strange forums like that. I definitely think we could cull them down and make room for some more common stuff like the LRs.

Finally finished mine. I wanted to run a mudflap, but I didn't have the heart to cut up one of my original mudflaps so I made one from a rusty door I had laying around. To run an original mudflap, you'd have to cut a lot of the strengthening ribs out of. Added the pioneer rack holes and the...

    My Jimmy's (awaiting restoration )

That's awesome. I love CCKW's and I've never seen a service body like that. It took me a few seconds of looking at the front bumper to realize what was there.

Was told to get "back-up" lights, so,,,,,,

Switch installed and power feed/output run: So once you've run the switch power to whatever your choice of rear lights is, you simply need to hook everything up. I use packard connectors and dielectric grease on everything. I used existing holes in the underbed area to mount the lights...

Was told to get "back-up" lights, so,,,,,,

Ok, so I told peashooter I'd post some updates once I was done with mine. Long post so take your ritalin. I wanted to use the armor headlights (http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?23925-Headlights-or-spotlights) for the reverse lights, as they are strong, military, have a lot of light...

    Looking for my First M35A2

    1. If you have mechanical experience, they will not present any difficulties. They're just like a '65 Chevy pickup, except bigger. 2. I think (and this is no slam on Eastern) if you're going to pay full retail prices, you need to get trucks that are 100% serviced. All hub/drums pulled...

Roadcheck 2013 - be aware of this in early June for all you 'heavey's'

ANY system on Earth that has a financial punitive mechanism is a for-profit/revenue system. Take away police departments ability to rake in money and somehow penalize speeders in some other way that's equally effective and watch speed traps and speed limit enforcement disappear instantly.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

This is true but I'll bet the risk of getting t-boned is statistically lower than being rear ended. I was recently told this is illegal now. Can't remember if they meant it was a Federal guideline or a Ga. issue. Didn't bother to research it. But regardless of the current legality, you have...
