For maximum heat, all the way up was not it for mine. I run mine 1 tick mark down from the last numbers. The unit is noisey without the flame screens and side door removed. Hour meter only functions in the heat position if connected, if hour meter doesnt function in heat mode, check the...
So the way I do it, I plan/budget to have the truck shipped, then go get it and drive it home myself. If it breaks down, you call a trucking company, have them load up and take it the rest of the way, then you get on a train/plane and go home. If/when you make it home, then you saved yourself...
I had time to install the ‘new’ k8 on a spare heater, it worked as designed so i am at a loss why it didn’t work for yours unless there are other problems. Verify that the spade connectors are not touching, i had issues with them wanting to twist and touch while tightening.
I don’t know of any reason the heat side would cause a breaker to trip. The ignitor runs in fan, fuel pump runs in fan, only difference on heat is valve opens for fuel.

They will probably end up being the matched set, after I put all new coolant hoses on. These brand new 8yo+ hoses are not sealing, are brittle and cracking. So just drain and flush, change all hoses, and refill, ez pz.
The shaddow likes it, she said she would get in another wreck with this truck, trailer was not included but picked up in transit.
First things on the agenda: dash cam, air ride seats, more reflective tape, more lights viewable from the rear.
For those of you following, their insurance paid for the 5T, so yesterday, its replacement showed up. Just in time for Christmas. Her name is AMi.
1979 AMi General M916, 2009 TXRSMS rebuild, 367 miles when picked up.
When you get time to run your jenny, best thing for it will be to load it to max capacity, there have been some really good/cheap load tester builds done if you need ideas.
