had a friend worked for a gravel hauler a while back, had this old person in front of him on the highway, wasn't going fast enough for him and layed on the air horns, scared the guy off the road ,and the company got sued form the old goat.
i always carry a couple buckets of sand in the back for slippery sitiatons. plus some small chains i run thru the spoke holes of the duals,usually good enuff to get you out of a bad spot.
john says bring it in to match one. my buddie will try to find one amongst his well scattered parts. sam winer has them for $25.00 but again you might have to match. i got a 24 volt one on the shelf you can have for what i paid for it. if it fits.
i put in one of those 2500 watt thermo siphoning heaters in my 602 gasser. works great and less agravation .gonna put one of those magnet jobs on my power steering resorvoir though, to heat up that 30 wght. oil.
i put a piece of 1 by six across the roof just above the doors. i got my stereo up there on the bottom and up top is storage for my tapes and cd's. can't here the cb at all when driving down the road. sprayed it all od , and looks like it belongs there.
if the truck hasn't been reg before ,no one knows what the gvw is. just tell you're ins co. you want it at 25k lds or 24k lds what ever you want. just keep it away from the 26k lds. you can put the gross at 100k and no one will say anything because they charge you $ 15 a thousand lds up here in ma.
