i believe they use 9/16 and 250 feet. you can grab some good used stuff from a crane co. which replace theirs very often per msha regulations. i heard someone say that elevator cable is usable too. which they have to replace after so many months.
Nah they ain't that bad . I get 5 mpg bopping around town. Less when i'm plowing though. If you retranny it , how are you going to get the sprag to work for the front end ??
my buddie got one a couple years ago for junk. he got the truck part running and sold it for $1000.00 and junked the snowblower section. the guy that bought it is restoring it and turning it into a wrecker.
if you're reg. antique i wouldn't worry about it. i'll find out next oct. but i don't think it'll have any effect on my buggy even though i have comm. tags.if it does, the town just lost a snowplow. hello antique.
if the clutch has enough free play the throwout bearing shouldn't make any noise once you get going. like stretch says, once you start moving don't use the cluth, plan you're stops ,so you don't have to stop .
bunch of us doing the thanksgiving parade in plymouth,ma.11/22 at 10:00 all invited to join meeting in plympton around 8:00 and picking up some guys in kingston, then to plymouth.
i'm sitting here laughing. i don't know how i got here or where i am, but it's funny reading all the complaining you guys are doing. give the guy a break and let him do his thing.
