I have all the food in the shop van, now to pack my clothes and the other things that didn't get loaded onto the M36 before it left. Hope to be there before noon on Wednesday.
Made a trip to Wally World and to Sam's, one more trip to each and I should have the food pretty much all bought (at least all that I'm bringing. Remind WM that I reserved power for Wed-Sun, not Tuesday.
Jason and his dad just pulled out, headed for the rally. Expect them about 4pm or so. They are in a pickup truck pulling a camper and the M36 pulling the tan sanitation MKT.
Got the sanitation trailer closed up. waiting on Jason to get here and hook it up to the M36, then they are off to the Rally and I can go to Sam's and buy a whole bunch of food for the fridge in the shop van.
I plan on arriving at the rally on Wednesday morning with Chicken bog as the main dish that night. Probably won't be lunch because I'll still be setting up.
We hopefully will have the sanitation trailer and the wash stations there so we should not need bleach (unless of course, we need to dispose of a body). I have four gallons of anti-bacterial soap for the wash stations. How many sets of porta potties are setup?
Make 'em fine thread, grade 8 bolts. We want that bed to stay on the wrecker! And get three or four extra, as I hear the mechanic crew has been in the cherries, and they might lose that many trying to do the install.
Drive a civvy veh to Lexington, SC, then drive one of my deuces to the rally. The S-280 will have two cots and I only need one to sleep on. We'll work the food part out too since I'm in charge of the grub!
Well, I've heard from four people as possible drivers, so it looks like the plan is coming together. Of course, the TRUE cooler does not want to make cool air, but at least the Bev-Air is working to spec. I've contacted WM to bring some large coolers where we can put stuff on ice if need be...
There should be a grease fitting that you can force some lube into (if the whole wheel assembly won't turn from side to side), or you can unscrew the top nut some and tap it down with a dead blow hammer (with the nut still on, at least to start) to break it free. Then clean and lube both the...
The Shop Van (pantry) needs to be hooked to the cooking MKT, while the wash station MKT (the FSC) needs to be back to back with the cooking trailer to make things work. Other truck can be unhooked and parked elsewhere close by.
I have both of my trucks at home to start loading. Finished squirting some grease in all the zerks. The M36 does not want to go when first rolling, maxes out at 2300 rpm on level ground till it goes about eight miles then will get up to 2400. Shop van was following me and never dropped out of...
Well, I've got about a third of the food purchased, but I've lost track of how I'm getting two trucks and trailers to the Rally. And not everything is loaded yet (actually, none of it).
Somebody in today's auction thinks an M109 was worth $4200 with GL fee and sales tax. And a dropside M35 with no doors on the cab was worth $3300. Kinda makes the $1270 I spent on my last M109 was a good investment.
