Here's the shifter.
The upper switch is a neutral sw., lower one is Rev. switch.
The hole in shifter for rev. sw. is bigger, thats why they use a bushing as seen in photos.
Bushing outer diameter is about 3/4"
.
Check your main bracket.....the long skinny slotted part of it tends to crack when the rear bracket gets loose , and sometime the exhaust stud shears off.
Then with a combination of some above condition....Alt. tab could break.
Hmmwv wheels wont fit M101A1....has the wrong axle / drums.
Now a M101A2 can be used.....it has the proper 8 lug pattern.
Some guys used a wheel spacer to bring the hmmwv wheels out a little to clear cable and or structure.
Get the early, or late 12 bolt or 24 bolt wheels with the one piece runflat/beadlocks, and then your ok.
8 bolt wheels and 36" R/T's should be in a land fill, or something.
I use those 8 bolters and bias tires on trucks in the yard to roll around, and do paint work on, so good tires / wheels...
Soft top trucks have a rubber oval with three contacts visible when you lower W/S frame.
Lower it again and clean and inspect them.
Also one would have 24 vdc at it.
