I went with the 5/4 decking, ripped in half and bull nosed (rounded) the edges.
It has it's good points and it's bad points. If I didn't need them done quickly at the time, I would have gone with fiberglass. If I ever do it again, I will go with fiberglass or hardwood.
Good: It's cheap...
Hmm. Too bad the catamaran trailer doesn't' have a pintle ring on it.
Or maybe it's a good thing it doesn't. You'd get laughed off the highway pulling it behind an M915. rofl
The first time I saw pinion brakes on a crawler, I asked a retired Ford chassis engineer what he thought, and he told me two things.
1. It would be illegal. Federal law requires the brakes be independent per wheel. Then he went on and on about surface area of the brake pads and the gear ratio...
Yes. Down is closed, up is open.
The camshaft holds the injector closed until it needs fuel, then the camshaft allows it to open briefly, then closes it back. What the rocker is pushing down is a pin (plunger) that seals the injector closed.
It should also be said that the pin (plunger) goes...
We had the throw out bearing go out on our XM817. We used an engine hoist and passed it through the passenger door.
That tranny is one heavy piece of metal.
If you want to start with the easiest, simplest, cheapest first, check the adjustment of the cylinder one injector. If it has backed off a little, it may not be closing the injector all the way, thus feeding fuel all the time.
Just a thought...
We used a generator as well. The cargo cover bows always look good with strings of lights.
Sorry, no pictures. Believe it or not, nobody thought to take any. We did get second place in the "Organization" category, which was cool.
We're in again this year, but I hope it's warmer. It was 17 F...
I was hoping to get that way tomorrow, but it looks like it will be after thanksgiving.
Friday or Saturday can work for me. If either of those days is good for you, then take your pick. I would be at your LZ sometime in the early afternoon, (between 1200 and 1400) If that's Okay.
Pick the day...
Here are pictures, if you haven't seen it:

Popacom said it would go around 500 pounds. It's solid steel, no aluminum.
Tuesday or Wednesday works for me. I'm just going to visit someone. I could go all the way to his house, if I need to. It might be easier to unload there.
What's up with this? >>----> :gimp:
Put the transfer case in neutral. Make sure the transmission is either in a specific gear, or neutral. I wouldn't do it without the top of the transmission on, so the forks can keep the transmission components from drifting around.
Yeah, that's 1/R
I drew arrows on your pictures. The arrow on the pic of the top cover shows the set-bolt that could be the problem. The arrow on the pic of the transmission is pointing at some rust.
I would see if the rear fork slides on the shaft. You may want to take that bolt out and see...
