Wow that's an impressive assembly! It's amazing to think that things in those pictures used to be as common as M105's and deuces but are now seen as museum pieces more often than they are seen out in the wild.
So far when my pictures won't upload I just open them and the use Snipping Tool to take a screenshot. The screenshots always upload just fine. I never had problems until about a month ago :shrugs:
I installed a new horn button and new turn signal flasher box. I also tried out low transfer for the first time and discovered that I have the upgrade with the reverse lockout. Then I tried the windshield washer and it still doesn't like me but atleast none of the air lines blew out this time.
I got a 20 ton bottle jack for my truck. It was $32 out the door with a free tarp at Harbor Freight. Now I'll be comfortable jacking up the truck to inspect brakes and axles.
Register it as a historic vehicle and there will be no smog issues, but there are some restrictions on use like no trips from the jobsite to Lowes and back. Historic plates are $81 a year but commercial plates would have been close to $2500 and I'd probably still be trying to sort through the...
Success!! CC charge of 21.76 so that means that SH1780 truly is free shipping for non members. I guess they just had a glitch when I saw the first order confirmation.
That probably would make things easier. They just emailed me an invoice showing $21 and free shipping so it might've worked. I'll find out for sure which it is once it comes up on my CC page. Either way $19 is probably a small price to pay for something pretty close to what I need.
I guess I just bought two of the seats. I tried another code they sent me (SH1780) and it took off the shipping so the total was $21. I hit place order and the total jumped up to $38 with no way to change anything or cancel. It'll make my project look better so I guess I shouldn't be too upset...
How are the lights attached around the hood? I want to do a giant sled/ Christmas tree in the front yard using my truck but I want to find a way to attach the lights so I can still drive it.
Eventually some of the new people driving up the prices trying to get them for resale will realize they just can't move them at that price so things will start to get back to normal, hopefully.
I think I figured out the problem. I'm not a member so they email me "free" shipping codes but since you have the membership you get real free shipping. I tried that code and it said I have to be a member to use it. Thanks for trying to help me out! I probably should just buy them even with the...
I just tried to order 4 of the seat frames from Sportsman's for my mini HMMWV/ Jeep golf cart project. $19.96 for the seats and $66.79 for the shipping. The "free" shipping code they gave me only took $8.99 off because they consider it heavy and bulky. Sure looked like a good deal that would...
Seems like it would probably work ok, but you might want to put some rubber tube or tape around the cord where it goes into the slots in the cover so it doesn't dig in since it's so much smaller/ stiffer than the rubber rope. It might be a little tough to get it tight since the 550 won't stretch...
