Don't know how much it cost because it was just left on the tractor from the rental yard that owned it before, but LoJack works really well for recovering stolen things. The police can ping it and locate the vehicle but I'm not sure if the owner can access the system. It doesn't look like...
Somewhere I have quite a few pictures of these along with the newspaper article from the 25th anniversary and I think a poster with signatures from some of the pilots. Living 2 miles from the end of the runway for so many years and always being around people who worked on planes like this...
I've seen a couple trucks very similar to this one come up in SoCal construction auctions before. Same color, cab mods, and hood. I think they were listed as M62s and M54s but I'm not sure how accurate the listings were. One even had AC into the passenger foot vent. Interesting engine conversion...
Looks like you got a pretty good trailer. Another method to cover dings on the bed rail is to buy a piece of aluminum angle and rivet it over the dent. That way it covers the dent and slightly reinforces that part of the bed edge. If you get similarly sized rivets to the ones on there and paint...
Sometime I'll have to get around to posting my airshow pictures and videos. I have a lot with the N-9MB and other Planes of Fame aircraft in action. B2s are awesome but that bright yellow wing sure makes my day every time I see it.
Thanks for the offer. They ended up going more than I was willing to do, but I'll keep you in mind for next time (hopefully not too far in the future).
I'm looking at two GL lots in Groveport that close tomorrow. Both are in several boxes and on pallets. One is listed at 290lbs and the other at 200lbs. I would need these to be picked up and dropped off at a shipper, probably Fastenal. They can probably be combined onto one pallet and shrink...
Looks like it was a ton of fun! If there's something planned in late December/ early January or the summer, I'd really like to make it out there again!
That's an awesome picture! Even after I explain it sometimes I still get "5 ton deuce", "big deuce", "you mean a deuce right?", "wow that must be rare!":shrugs:
The bulbs to go to twelve volt should be 1156 (or 1157?). I use a flat four cable out of one of those $4 trailer wire kits and cut it about 6ft from the end and put female connectors from NAPA on there (sorry can't remember the part#, maybe someone else has it). Then you can just unplug the...
Even though this happened before my time here and I never knew the man, that thread is never easy to read. I read it every time that it comes up though, always a strong reminder about what could happen if things go wrong.
I had a similar problem on my M925. A replacement turn signal lever unit from Erick's solved my problem. Now my only problem is that the flasher unit doesn't flash under a certain temperature or RPM, so that's the next thing to check.
