An amazing event. I was humbled to be in the presence of the MOH recipients.
Great job Dennis, and eveyone else, at VVA920 in Denton who made us feel so welcome[thumbzup]. However, thats the last time I do over 100 mile round trip in the DUKW. Certain parts of my anatomy will take weeks to...
OK. Answer time. (Well sort of an answer…but still leaves the question open)
Situation is as follows:
I asked one of the mechanics, “the next time you are in the yard, could you get me the Identity Number from each M105A2 parked by the yard gate”.
He said “What’s an M105A2?” (Note: he...
Those SS members who said “M105A2” are half-correct. :-P
Those SS members who said “Read the data plate” are half-correct (And very wise!). :-P
I think Derrickl112 may be close…but I’ll explain later.
Darwin T: Not a trick question…really:(
And I wasnt trying to make the pictures fuzzy...my...

You go for...
Well, I've cleared it with the "appropriate authorities" and, weather/murphy/drivers permitting, I plan to make it to Denton on April 9th with, at least, the M151A2, M35A2C and the DUKW for the MOH run to Gainesville.
Do you know if they have a "No Tracked Vehicle" ordinance in Gainsville...

Keep me updated as well. My "promised" get together with the guys in Denton is well overdue! (sorry....)
I would like to make the April 9th function if possible, but I might be doing an airshow that weekend on the way back from Florida. If I am not flying, I will bring M38A1, or M151A2, or...
I see you are in 75094 (Murphy?).
After you see gimpyrobb photos, if you also need to look at one close up, pm me.
I am in 75024 (West Plano), although the truck is stored in Addison.
I also see you are parting out an M915A1. Wouldn't happen to have the muffler and stack available, and a...
Correct.
Currently this Stearman is "down for maintenance" due to a pilot reported engine vibration . It is one of those CND situations. I think it was probably just the pilots phone on vibrate!
And you can never have too much OD:D
No ...not my collection.....but even better.....I get to work on it, and use it, and someone else pays the bills. (Part of the collection is museum, and part private).
I get to indulge my hobbies by:
1) looking after the OD, (and using it whenever I want), and the operational OD...
