Just got an M1009 with no batteries. Looking for photos of the cable hookups.

These are the photos from the ad, I won't be off till dark tonight but I'll try and get more detailed photos showing the alternator(s) and the engine. Excuse the imgur host, I'll edit when I'm back to my PC to embed the photos. http://imgur.com/a/uviX8

Just got an M1009 with no batteries. Looking for photos of the cable hookups.

I love this forum, super helpful info. Thank you everyone. If it is a civilian truck then I won't be disappointed. There were never civilian 24v trucks were there? (I assume not) It has the switches for blackout lights, and they were told by "a diesel mechanic" that it was a 24 volt truck...

Just got an M1009 with no batteries. Looking for photos of the cable hookups.

Oh boy, mine is different. The batteries are behind the headlights. Is that indicative of a 12 volt truck, or is that just wrong? The big tell will be if it has two alternators.

Just got an M1009 with no batteries. Looking for photos of the cable hookups.

Just bought an M1009 (I think?) for $450. If it was an M1009 someone has taken the 8 lug axles for a different project, it now has 6 lug axles. I would like to verify that it is a 24v starter and alternator then see if it starts with new batteries this weekend. My only concern is making sure I...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Your absolutely right, but by the time you've done it, the engine wouldn't respond well to multifuel use anymore, and would still be overly big and heavy. If you have the need for speed and dont care from multifuel capable, a 6bt will make you VERY happy.

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Ive been gone from this forum for quite a while, but I have not forgotten this thread. Im excited to see affordable high psi pumps showing up, that seems like a cleaner nicer solution, and still amazingly affordable! For those that are fabricating a water injection system for a high power...

Problem: My bulbs all seem to blow out way before they should. Regulator adjusted.

Wow everyone, thanks for the prompt replies! The batteries sat for 12 months unloved and they didn’t look new when I purchased the truck, who knows how old they were or how they were treated. Then, they show signs of wear because of being overcharged before I adjusted the regulator. They do...

Problem: My bulbs all seem to blow out way before they should. Regulator adjusted.

Howdy yall, Problem: I seem to blow out light bulbs very quickly. Theory 1: My regulator is nearing worn out on the alternator therefore the voltage has spikes and dips? (Not been noticed on the Gauge) Theory 2: My Batteries are garbage, so the entire charging system is strained? (These...

    Insane home Water/meth injection...

Heath, I am still working to get my truck reliable again before starting on this project, but after seeing some of the Soda Kegs in person I wasnt stoked about trying to find a good spot to stash them. I am anxiously awaiting these updates. I am still mostly interested in this because it...

    PNW Info Thread!

Trying to repair it will not work, I know because I already tried it. It failed again, blew the Wheel Cylinder apart, and here we are. If you wouldnt mind telling me more about checking the shoe for correct fit inside the drum and checking for "Bell mouthed" drums, it could save me...

    PNW Info Thread!

The only issue is that the shoe is damaged where the wheel cylinder pushes against it. None of the Shoes look worn out though. I did call them, they didnt think they could even re-line them for less than $30, much less replace a damaged shoe. Rapid brake, and a heavy truck shop on Pacific...

    PNW Info Thread!

Well, one of the brake shoes seems to have been damaged. Shortly before I took it for a test drive around the block I had a friend look at the back of the drums as I pumped the brakes, and the wheel cylinder blew out again. Same one as last time, but it looks as though it was due to the shoe...

Does the M35A3 really make a good FD Brush Truck

You asked about a winch, they are not inexpensive, but WARN does sell a 24v winch that would work just peachy for your build. I would also ask if they have discounts for public service folks.
