The ctis honks?
ive got mine to blink on the highway mode. Flash 4 lights, 5 lights, blink in the various other modes when I pushed the button.
I was was wondering about the battery box, if it had its own floor. Thanks for posting that picture. It's time for me to prioritize the needed and...
Well it's excellent. I made it home fine. I swapped in two commercial batteries and now she starts fine. The truck does have some corrosion on the floors and in the battery box and the paint job looks terrible and is peeling. The ctis works, I think? Still figuring that out. My wife is glad...
I'd like to give a big shoutout to Colby and Brian for coming down and opening up the yard. They even had the truck running for me! So I'm off to my first fresh tank of fuel. Truck looks to be running okay. So now I'm headed back to Colorado. We'll hook up the CUCV in a little while once we make...
Three, count them three phone calls to customer support on Monday and Tuesday and Wenesday and a follow up Email asking for my GP item number even though I provided the release number in an earlier Email about a Friday pickup and up guess what.....there closed.

I'm super excited to pick up my new (to me) 5 ton truck in the morning. I'd like to thank all those members who offered their advice. I'll post some pics from the trip and and maybe some insights that might help future folks doing their own recoveries.
I've read the TM's have tools and fluids...
Ive given up on the seller, i got some rusty cans and now a third one is seeping at the seams. they were not NOS as desribed. Live and learn, I should have asked to see pictures of the actual cans not just a generic picture before agreeing to buy them. Needless to say im bummed but not so much...
Thanks, I've got a pretty big recovery list going. My "plan" is to drive my M1009 to Kansas and bring my new medium towbar I just got from m35cat here on the classifieds and drive the 5 ton towing the cucv behind. No current spare for the 5 ton is my current issue.
I recently won a m925a2 and I'm figuring out the recovery, I noticed in one of the pictures from gp the abs light looks to be on, do you think this is an indication of a fault? Or normal during startup? What would the consensus be in terms of a driving recovery with a active abs light in...
Thanks, I have a question for 5 ton owners. I was watching the video of the truck running and noticed the fan wasn't turning, is that normal? Like it's got a clutch so it doesn't rotate when the engine is cold?
I've been wanting a 5 ton for awhile and with some advice from the members here I got one today, it's a m925a2 in Kansas. It looks to be a runner, this will be my third recovery, easily the biggest.
I'm super excited to get this truck. Thanks to those who gave me sound advice.
Getting resolved
Thanks for getting back with me, I sent you a pm with my preference to get the situation all fixed up. The linings on the cans I received was in great shape, I began using one this weekend. I also found a NOS #40033 blizt spout on a popular auction sight.
Thanks
terry
I thought it was odd that two of 6 cans were rusty but none of the cans in the ad showed rust. If I had seen the condition I wouldn't have purchased them. (The rusty ones) I've bought several more off fleabay over the last few weeks and have blasted and painted them, it's a fair amount of work...
Interesting, I was wondering about that. Ill get with the seller and see what shakes out. I really do want them though. I got the MV Fever bad. I almost ran out of fuel in the middle of nowhere recently and realized I really need to have backup fuel. If it's green it looks mean.......
