Ok I will try one more time. Does anyone have any interest in an M1022 mobilizer? It's been sitting around for a while. It does need tires as the tires on it are worn, but hold air. It's in real good shape. I will post a pic from today. I had it down the highway barn. Tows real nice behind a...
Any members from Ohio heading toward MA or close to any time soon? I am looking to buy a hood in Lancaster Ohio and get it moved to MA. It is a deuce hood.
Mike
I finally got to do a deuce recovery, I won it down in NJ. Me and Beaubeau went down to get it. I couldnt have done it without him. The truck is real nice, and there were no problems getting it home. The only problem is that I need a bigger driveway now.
I was skeptical about this, but it was worth it. No problems, but the non camo towed a bit harder then the other. It would have been easier with a bigger truck though. Non the less the are home in the slowly shrinking yard of mine. :)
Ok , here is a quickee. Does anyone know the inside measurment of the seats in a deuce. I have a guy at work who said he will sell me a new bench seat from a minivan for $25.00. The seat is 49" long. I am not getting my deuce till saturday and I dont want to lug this thing home if its too small.
Hey if there are any members in PA interested in doing a check out for a deuce that I "won" please pm orrespond to thread Ft Indiantown gap. Lot #3404 event # 3621. I need to know how road worthy the truck is. If anyone can take a look before I submit EUC
Thaks,Mike
Ok I got one for you all, maybe someone can answer for me. I was just in the auction in NJ. Event #3627 lot # 3404 for a deuce. My max bid was $1750.00, At the end of the auction "somehow" my max was increased, not by me, to $2220.00. Last week I won 2 M105 trailers for more than my max bid. I...
I have an M1022, looking to trade for cargo cover ,bows for deuce. It will need new rubber. It will have 4 tires on it but they are old and worn. I was going to weld steel in between the ends and make a lifting trailer, but I just won 2 M105's and I will not have the room for this. Unless I move...
Has anyone tried to modify an M1022 dolly lift by welding channel steel as rails to the front and rear sections to make a trailer with lifting capabilities. I am picking one up in 2 weeks and I got it for the tires they are the same size as the 5 ton, and it seems a waste to have the rest of...
Ok, I got a question. I got the OK from the warden to buy a deuce. I have been looking online at the GL website. I have seen a lot nice trucks but I am a bit leery about buying one and towing or driving it back then deal with the hassle of getting a title. I got an M51A1 in real nice shape for...
Ok here's one. Since I am taking the over the cab protector off my M51A2. It's only going to be used as a cargo truck with the ability to dump should we need it. I want to put a canvas cover in back like the cargo trucks. Were there any that had this configuration or is this gonna be custom?
Has anyone got good close pic's of the winch on an M51A2. I have been looking at a lot of pic's of MV's with winches and it seems a lot of them sit on top of the frame rails. I need to find out if mine is set up right. I cant find a pto drive shaft for it so I might have to have one made. But...
Can I use drive shafts from a 2 1/2 ton in a 5 ton truck. I have a M51A2 that needs front ,rear rear and pto to winch shafts. I have seen a lot of ds's for dueces that are pretty cheap. But I dont know if they are interchangable.
New guy here,
Love this site. I am the proud owner of a 5 ton 6x6 dump. I got it for the EMA in town, I am the Asst Director. The truck serial # is 05B80368952315389. It is built by Kaiser. Is there a site where I can trace the number to get info on this truck? I got it from another town...
