    deuce steering box

I know this is an old thread, but I have one little tidbit of information to add (since I just accomplished removing the box myself after struggling with it for forever...). I didn't have to mess with motor mounts and such, so this is what worked for me: 1. Remove the bolts on the steering...

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

Finally got the %&$@ steering box off!!! :naner: I won't mention how long I struggled with the removal because it was an embarrassingly long time, but glad that it's off and can now continue with progress. Also removed the outer frame reinforcing plate to make room for the power steering box...

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

LOL...sorry for the lack of updates. The bolt is out...I had to cut it off. I haven't had a chance to make it back out there to work on it lately, but I know that the steering box is going to give me fits trying to get it out. I've removed every bolt from the box that I can see, but the...

Score!!!! New shoes and a winch.

I got'cha...I can't even afford the plasma table, but I'm certainly jealous! I used to be a machinist for quite a while and had access to a lot of stuff. Now that I'm chained to a desk/cubicle, I still have the access, but absolutely no G-jobs allowed...:( -WRM

Score!!!! New shoes and a winch.

A lot of stuff is cut with water these days; even your loaf of bread is sliced by water jet. I'm sure there's a youtube video of it... -WRM

Looks to be too much slag left over to be water jet to me...CNC plasma? -WRM

    Military ATV rims?

Also, as long as the center hole isn't too large, there's plenty of room to re-drill whatever pattern you need. -WRM

    Military ATV rims?

So, roughly a 4 x 135 bolt pattern. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that uses that pattern, but 5 x 135 is pretty common. -WRM

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Getting ready for the power steering install, so I removed the LF fender and wheel/tire for better access. Ross box is giving me fits trying to remove it... -WRM -WRM

    WRMorrison's "just another bobber" thread

Now that the truck is lifted and the XZL's are on, it's time to address the steering (or lack of it). I'll be adding power steering the usual way; with a Saginaw 710IHC box. First, I have to remove the stock, Ross system. The stock pitman arm came off easily with a HF puller: I've removed...
