I have some small truck parts (about 300 pounds) to ship from OK to SOCAL.
What is the best way to do this? I know I could call a freight company, but I am interested in alternatives too.
Thank for your help
I found several threads on this subject, but I need very recent information, so I will ask again.
I am in California, where everything with MV's is a pain in the rear (but can be done). I used to title my trucks through a registration service in ARIZONA, because all they needed was the SF97 and...
Steve,
There are some gaps in what's available fro the M1078 series TM's. Its the same set up for the M1083/93 of the same nomenclature, if you cannot find the manuals you need, just look for the manuals for those trucks.
You might be better off with an OSHKOSH HEMTT. They make a fire truck massed on that chassis.

MK48 is not that expensive and lots of NOS pares are out there.
There are several other threads out there with this topic, but none seem to nail down the answer definitively.
I am looking of the correct font (family name) for modern military vehicles such as the FMTV and HMMWv. I have a new stencil cutting machine and am itching to use it.
Please help.
I you think that is an expensive price for a new steel part and you have an FMTYV/LMTV, you are in for a big surprise. Get ready for $650 door handles.....and hours spent on tracking down what little is available.
The reason there are so many M35 parts out there is because they were making the...
I am pretty sure the MRAP in the top photo is called an ILAV. We used them for training at Fort Jackson on my way to Afghanistan in 2013. It is an actual MRAP designed for use in RAQ and was used by Naval forces there. It just does not have the heavy armor and kevlar panels all over it. That is...
Man, those are tricky to drive. They are heavy, and don't stop short and as others already said, they are top heavy. This is my experience, I would be worried that its more likely to kill the occupants or somebody else than protect anybody without proper training. Rollovers in the HMMWV and both...
MTV's and LMTV's are available in very limited quantities. The military to recapitalizing most of the older ones due to limited budgets. The one's that go on sale have been stripped of many parts and have other problems. I obtained a couple of them. One that was in pretty good working condition...
If you want an MRAP, the Europeans are surplusing them, but as of now, they are not cheap. Wait a while and Ki think there will be more. You have to understand how stupid our government is with this issue. The Europeans ship them home because they can sell one to a collector for $150K. The...
Are you sure that is it? The one above in balck is an OSHKOSH MEHTT/MK48 handle. The tan one you are showing has a lock. Military trucks do not have door locks for obvious reasons.
I bought that one and nothing was wrong with the tranny. Once the fluids were changed it drove fine. What was a pain the A was all the rubber mounts were rotted and had to be replaced. Its also really doifficult to get parts for these. They are out there but nobody will sell to you or bothers...
