You guys are hired. That looks great. Know anyone who does good body work in the area. My M1008 needs some work where the DRMO folks picked it up with a forklift and the M1009 needs a whole rear passenger side quarter panel.
So the IP is leaking everywhere. The -34 says the CUCV IP is a DB-2829-4521. Is there a better one ? I have one I picked up sometime back just for this occasion however it says it's a DB-2829-4520 for a J code engine, so at least the J part is right. It needs to be rebuilt as well...
Should have reg'd it as a housecar to begin with, this state sucks when it comes to fees. Nothing more than TAXES for politicians to put in their pockets or their friends pockets.
Matt, do you know what section that is abt the wt fees and being handicapped....would love to know that one.
Ok, replaced a cracked and plugged (by the military) fuel vent hose. It was plugged off at the top near the fuel neck. I assumed it was a vent hose and not suppose to be plugged but now, even with only 3/4 of a tank of fuel and backed up my driveway, rear bumper is level with head lights so...
Anyone have the support bracket for the single rear threaded bolt on the starters? I need one. Let me know.
Anyone have a drawing with measurements etc showing how to build one, that would work as well.
Any ideas or suggestions.
Thanks everyone. That's a great help at this point.
Will see what happens with the LOGSA site first and go from there.
Garbee if that doesn't work I'll PM you my address as well.
Thanks,
Ok, having nearly gone blind looking thru all the pages of TMs, I've either missed the ones for the A3 or no one has posted them..........
Does anyone have any on cd or know where they are and can be downloaded?
Thanks,
A guy I know just said it may be they by passed the water separator using the big copper line.....so we will see. I no nothing abt these trucks and am just trying to help a buddy who picked it up thru drmo.
For me though I'd sure like some larger super single rims for my cargo deuce...
Filter
The filter is on the driver's side of the engine midway back and down......probably like you said the dryer filter.
I have passed on the Erik's site info as well as the info about turning it off etc, which I too have heard in the past.
Thanks,
Anyone on here with an A3, need some info for a friend with one. Anyone know the p/n for the filter on the air system.....on the drivers side of the engine that is for the CTIS system........I have pics I can send to you if you need to see the part placement.
Also need the wheel NSN for the...
OH I'm sure I can get it insured thru my regular insurance but it just ticks me off that they won't insure it because of the shelter, after all it is a shelter carrier and the shelter is attached as it should be......
Don't want to mislead them but taking it out, then putting it back in, like...
May have to do that...............or go to my regular insurance company.......geeze, what a joke especially since I have 8 other vehicles insured with them.......glad the 3 other 1008/1028s don't have anything on them.
Just picked up a nice, very nice low mileage, other than faded PINK paint, M1028 with Shelter. I called/emailed JC Taylor who insures my other 8 mil vehicles and was told because of the shelter they wouldn't be able to insure it.
SO:
1. Has anyone else had this problem...
I'd say the HEMTT is much more useful than a HET. At least with a HEMTT you can haul your MANCAVE around or anything else and still not be too large. Y ou don't need a trailer to pull behind like the HET.........OR, OR, are you looking for something larger to put on a HET...
The article mentions the fact the artillery has to fit in the Osprey or the CH -53 Sea Stallion. The vehicle is the size of a large golf cart. They entire system is called EFSS for Expeditionary Fire Support System. Larger isn't necessarily better since the 7 tons etc can't fit too well in...
Found this picture in the latest edition of Marine Corps Times........anyone have any idea what this thing is.......looks like a cross between an M151 and a Gator or similar. Lots of die downs.......sure looks like a jeep hybrid or similar.
Article deals with Expeditionary Artillery so must...
I can't find the article/post someone did sometime back, believe it was on the old board, that involved photos/diagrams of building up wider rims. It showed the backspacing measurements etc so you didn't have to flip the hubs and was pretty detailed.
Anyone have a workable link to that...
