Driving home last night, oil pressure warning lights up on the dash. I pull over immediately. Truck idles fine for the second before I hit the switch and I thought it must be a sensor problem. Looked under the cab and the engine bay is covered with oil.
Now I’m trying to...
I landed and installed a hub, got back on the road. Made it most of the way home and she over heated. Temp got up to about 240 before I noticed (damnit). Pulled her over and shut it down. Tapped the fan solenoid and she vented air.
Now, she won’t start. I let her cool down to about 210, and I...
Thanks Simp. However, that’s only the link for the parts and special tools TM. I can’t seem to pick the link apart to get me to the root directory that holds all the TM’s. Very frustrating. Can you help a brother out?
Greatness, looks as tho I need to update my fan clutch, too. My apologies: I can’t search the TM’s with my iPhone, for whatever reason. Will the new clutch require special tools or is an easy swap?

So, I’m broke down in Colorado due to my stock engine fan coming loose of the hub. I ordered a replacement fan to be overnighted from Midwest Military. It’s now here and the bolt hole pattern is slightly too large. I could drill it out, and make it work, but with over...
I recently repaired mine by drilling out the rubber that lines the core of the plunger and replacing it with fresh silicone. Both ends of the plunger are supposed to seal the orifice it connects with while either powered or un-powered. The rubber dries out and cracks and allows air pressure past...
FIXED!
The rubber in the plunger was old, dried, cracked and coming apart. I drilled all the old rubber out (it goes completely through the core of the plunger), cleaned, and replaced with fresh silicone. I set the plunger on top of my boiler system and let it bake dry all night.
This morning...
My radiator fan solenoid isn’t exhausting. The rubber plug inside the bullet is old and cracked and keeps the charge line to the fan pressurized.
Anyone got a line on a replacement?
Question: Why do we need the CTIS system to wait until the air pressure reaches 120 psi? Why can't it just go to work a little earlier than previously expected?
I finally got my CTIS working. Happy day. It was failed when I bought it, and I *hoped* I could resurrect it.
A bit of reading on this forum lead me to jumper out the tank pressure switch and suddenly she came to life. So all I needed was a pressure switch.
Easier said than done. Replacement...
I think my air compressor is pushing a fair amount of oil into my air system, and I imagine it is way overdue for a rebuild. Who has rebuilt them and what kit do you recommend?
