That fuel filters is considered part of the fm stanadyne filters.. get a intake off a 6.5 or a van engines it mount on rear of intake the unit is usall PIA to service and filter cartage is expensive compared to canisters type.l
Limited liability company that funtion outside the normal operating realm of gm powertrain.similar to ford/kia or GM/ deawoo. that plant like most in dayton and southern Indiana work force belongs to an electrian union.. I been there few times it feel like Japanese company more than american...
All glorified turds lol.. never seen on with over 175 k on them 210 hp my chevy cruze with right programing will do that lol heck my 5.9 makes around 450hp on 5.9 liter verses 10.4 liters yes it was also an Idi motor a gutless wonder. The few I have been around. ?.
they suck.. like pothead girlfriend
It is this simple V8 have no business in the diesel realm. inline design is a lot better for longevity and maintainability.. but where stuck with turd of motor that is rapidly going in to obselesince with fuel and epa requirements some parts. most people...
IDI technology cool aid was drunk in the 70s and eighties.. IMHO it would have been better if they used 453 or 353 Detroit, not to mention the whole 4b thing.. GM sell car and truck and the parts that go along with it so we got CUCV. and the th400.. remember the auto trannies where still kind of...
cold weather as water freezes turns pulls the diesel around changes to wax lower temp cause it to gel.. when you buy filters look filter media is treated to extract water.. unfortunately most filter of this type stops around 15 to 10 microns hence primary and secondery filters.. what nice about...
Hate to bring this up.......... but the sensor on civy model is also used to shut off the cold start solenoid in the injection pump.. if it cold out dose bunch of stuff like advance the injection 6 degrees floods the fuel chamber with fuel... So the experiment begins.. my hillbilly plan to...
I rebuilt a hummvee take out motor.. installed it in my 1028. I recently installed and oil cooler on the motor it pick an 25psi on the oil pressure gauge.. I removed the by pass valve behind the oil filter and of course I was given the wrong one to replace.. my question is where is the other one...
Figured it out.. block of my motor was humvee take out apparently humvee dont have the oil bypass valve for oil cooler , go figure . And to make thing worse when I removed the adaptor for oil filter I inadvertently removed my bypass for oil filer, causing my oil pressure relief valve to close...
Watch video your fine truck and injection pump works as it should.. btw tighten your belts and check motor mounts... please read the link I posted. Also learn to use idle advance .. it r8und thingy mounted on the linkage. Think it in the starting procedures in the tm...
Did you read the part where the solenoid advances timing 6 degrees and reduce your bowl presure to 0?.. your fuel mods have created precombustion issues imho dial the fuel mod back a bit or disconnect the solenoid on the pump also check the glass ball at the return fuel nipple. IT is important...
I finally got around to fitting up a external engine oil cooler for 1028. Here some observation. ( before install ) would idle for 10 mins @ 60 degrees before t-stat would open. oil pressure was 60psi cold and would be around 40 psi when t=stat open... btw thermostat is 190 degrees type
(After...
AND.... Houston I have problem... let see if I can figure it out.. My gp and wing harness is wiped out (manual push button) when I bought 1028. the temp sender was replaced with gauge. see if I can just wire it to work or have to get jiggy with it..
should match injector with pump.. IMHO unless you swap out precup and stay with stock injector. adjust the load of turbo with existing pump (fuel delivery and timing advance) the condition of your pump could come into play. if you swap injectors it could change the whole balance. the 6.5 turbo...
