4spd master to 5 speed slave
SORRY I have to get sleep the I have external slave from a 96 forgot to read carefully. Ok I remember looking for solution for mine. On the net , A guy/ company made a wedge to mount the 5sp master to the sm465 pedal assembly.. maybe this will work...

I have one mishimo like yours in my 1009 mine has 4bt in it.. mine is mounted behind the core support.. I do have D eye on the 1028 never compared it to 3 " bought it on clearance it was for burban few years ago.. plans are to mount an hx35 but I am exploring option where to mount the turbo..

So.. I guessing you want to fix it? pull wire off back of alt check it with voltmeter. if works restore the wire go to napa or where ever buy new wire, I sugest...

I have done the swap with both the old and the new 4500 no lift was necessary .. You do have to chop hole in the floor for clearance.. the shifter is 1.5 to 2 inches longer than the 4 speeds used in those years so shifter tower will be about 1 up in the cab and will have to mod the 4wd selector...
