I posted a parts wanted add on craigslist in my area and got 3 reponses in 3 days. 2 were used and 1 was new for $100 . They were civi rads. but worked well.
I have purchased several GSA fire trucks with the lettering and such. The heat gun is a great tool unless you haven't done it before or get the least bit distracted . You can blister the paint quickly. A hair heat gun is affective without the greater risk. The WD40 idea has worked in the past...
I sold my bobbed duece and kick myself everytime I see another. So I bought a M35A3 to shorten. Trust me if you sell it you will just spend more money next time on a different project. Just keep going with this one ,tweeking and tinkering more and more untill the military wants it back lol.
bobbing a duece
When I shortened my truck I chose not to go with a longer more expensive driveshaft. I just cut out the front of the 105 bed to clear the rear cab mount and then boxed it in with the same gage metal. It just take up about as much as a suitcase would. This way the truck is even...
Anyone want a couple that have clean Michigan titles that have been checked out and driven over a thousand miles? Both came from Gaylord sale. One just needs a speedo. $2900 each with hardtops. Just got a letter fron IRS saying my Moms estate that was supposed to be protected in a trust was...
Our church youth group has a huge farm they have turned into a small village mock up. They have several vans they want to turn into tanks. They were just about to use our shop to chop open the roofs when I remembered the turrent tops some military trucks came with. Does anybody know where we...
I can hear and see the main pump in the tank running if thats the intake pump? I have unhooked the lines that come from the filters to the injection pump and there is fuel flowing there. I can't get it through the injection pump.
fuel delivery
I din't run out of fuel, I let it sit all winter with the fuel line at the tank unhooked. It drained the whole system. I have it bleed back through all the filters but I can't seem to get fuel through the injection pump. I have opened the brass bleeders at the filetes and have...
I left my truck sitting all winter without a main fuel line and now I'm having a hard time priming the injection pump. I found a small bleed bolt on the side but it still won't bleed out very well ( the lines open at the injectors after bleeding the pump won't bleed through ) Help? I have fuel...
I need a radiator cap and the 6 bolt type rubber mounts for the headlight assembly's along with the drivewrside door latch . This is all for my 1967 m35. Last parts to have it up and running.
It was on the gsa auction and I got sniped I was trying to steal it for $400, man being cheap doesn't always pay off. I don't know if the tank was an add on or not the guy that answers questions was short on the other ytrucks I had to ask about and cut me off after 10 minutes. I did get a M50A2...
THanks for the info. It is a gasser and seems to be in great shape. It is a water tanker that a local fire dept had. I need a radiator and would also like to convert my shorty m35 into a all wheel steer! I don't have to use anything if somebody wants it. I'm the high bidder and it looks like...
What is out there for my 5 ton to convert to singles and what is the largest tire I could run? Can the pump be turned up like my duece? What is the cruising speed of these trucks with the 1100 20's that are on it now. I had to tow it home and work on the fuel system so I haven't been able to...
I can't find a radiator for my 1968 m35, mine was wrecked by the forktruck tines at the G.L.site when they tried to move the truck for me. The master cyl. was laying on the floor and I can't seem to get it back into place, I can't make it fit up where it's suppose to go , it seems too big.It...
