Fuel filter supply line thread size..Cummins 250

For informational purposes since we're sort of on the subject...what is the rubber fuel line size supposed to be on the 8.3CTA?

    Behr Paint adhesión question.

I repainted my truck last year with the Behr Marquee, and I'm beginning to notice a few spots are beginning to chip/peel. I sanded the entire truck prior to applying two-three coats with a foam roller and brush. Don't know what the issue is. I'm just going to chip off the pieces and paint...

Making yourown silicone gaskets and o-rings for the 5ton

Want to pump in some more silicone into your mold and mail me the o-ring after it cures? I'll send you whatever it costs+labor. I'm having the same issue...the small standard o-ring isn't thick enough and won't seal. It'll hold 21psi, anything over that and it leaks out.

    ARB 5 ton locker

I'm in for one, maybe two.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Put the truck to (minor) work. Hauled 5040lbs of mulch and lime for the lawn home from Home Depot today. Truck handled it like a champ, rode better with the weight in the bed too. Home Depot employees loved the truck, and even took pictures with it while they were loading it with the fork...

BFR Metals, Salina Kansas, a Goodie Hole

I might have to fly out there and rent a truck to fill with parts and drive it home.

Official 2015 Military Transport Association of NJ Show & Swap Meet 4/18-19

I bought the sideboards from you last year, but like you said, the troop seat portion is missing, so it looks a little weird on the truck with just the two pieces going across. I can't just bolt wood boards to it because the uprights for the bows won't be able to slide inside since the bolts...

Official 2015 Military Transport Association of NJ Show & Swap Meet 4/18-19

Will anyone have troop seats, bows and possibly a cargo cover for a M923 for sale? If so, it changes what I plan on driving to the show.

Official 2015 Military Transport Association of NJ Show & Swap Meet 4/18-19

Does said member want to demonstrate on a 14.00R20? Been thinking about driving the M923a2 up there, but it's a hike in the truck... 3 hours 20 minutes, 160 miles each way...all the way up 206(traffic light after traffic light)... Would take the parkway(2 hours 48 minutes, 172 miles)...

Diesel Conditioners for my M923A2 1991

Only thing I've put in the tank is Biobor JF, it prevents microbial growth, and it adds a bit of lube for the ultra low sulfur diesel we get now.

Calgary AB to vancouver island photos

Wondering all of this myself. I may be attempting to take the 5 ton on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry in August to head down to Jeep Fest in Ocean City Maryland. I imagine it'll fit since RV's and other big trucks go on all the time. I just wonder how much I'll have to pay...I'm sure I won't get...

im bringing home the beast (M923)

Show your 5 tons in the snow.

Was supposed to be a "historic" snowfall. I think they spread more salt than we got in snow... That is about 1/2 an inch on grass...everything else has already melted. We were forecasted in the foot and a half range...

Show your 5 tons in the snow.

I took my truck to the fire house tonight to sit and "wait" with some of the guys anticipating a decent snow storm, and "coastal flooding"....but it's a bust for us. The National Weather Service canceled all of the winter weather advisories for here(Cape May County, NJ). So much for 16-22"...

    Recovery at Fort Dix NJ

That's exactly the reason I haven't bid on any trucks at Ft Dix. I stayed here 2 miles from the beach during the hurricane, I know what a lot of these trucks went through. I know of one M923 that spent the night on a Delaware bay beach, idling over night, stuck in the mud with water almost up...

Ever see inside the Protective Control Box?

I'll have to go look at the circuit board to see what is on it and see if we can reverse engineer it. I'll post up pictures tomorrow of it, don't feel like going to grab it out of the garage now...work was exhausting today.

Ever see inside the Protective Control Box?

Yes, It's been back in the truck and hooked up for a few days now. Truck has started every time I've tried it now...seems to be working perfectly. Previously I was also having an issue with one of the ABS systems not doing it's start up "clicks"/self test...but now it works every time...not...

Ever see inside the Protective Control Box?

Well, to be honest, I'm not an idiot. I would never connect the batteries backwards like some 18 year old inexperienced mechanic in the Army might. I can still tweak the design, the box isn't that difficult to open up. I can install a diode into the control line on both solenoids...would...

Ever see inside the Protective Control Box?

Yes, it was a Presto-Lite. The seam around the base/lid appeared to be epoxied on(with paint over it all). I used a hammer and a chisel to break the epoxy up, and then used a screwdriver to pry the seam apart. The OE solenoids were spot welded to the base of the box, I used my drill press to...
